A real estate professional with a leading profile in the self storage and alternatives sectors having worked across the UK and EMEA since the 1990s from a valuation, agency and corporate finance perspective. I bring together first-hand transactional experience and creativity together with analytical valuation professionalism, and deep industry knowledge. My career started at Drivers Jonas. I joined as a graduate aged 20 and went on to become an equity partner 15 years later. I led the firm’s real estate valuation business following our merger with Deloitte. I lived in London, Edinburgh and Dubai during my career with them. I joined JLL in 2014 to establish their Alternatives business in the UK and their self storage team. I led the UK Commercial Valuation team from 2020 though Covid and a global restructuring, and then was EMEA Alternatives sector lead. I joined Savills as head of self storage in February 2024. I was a founding board member of Freehold in 2011 and have been a visible and openly gay leader in real estate. I also founded and am a Director of Chiswick Flower Market to revitalise my town centre - it now attracts thousands of visitors and is a top 10 London market. I authored a text book on valuation for the RICS, and am an advocate of bold reform and modernisation of the valuation profession.
