‎I carried my bucket to the well twice until I realized I was controlled 😔

‎I kept going to the girls' hostel to fetch water from the well.
‎
‎Do you know what’s funny? 
‎
‎I didn't even need to be there.

‎He had just finished his free webinar and pitched his course... 
‎
‎but no one was buying.
‎
‎I could feel his frustration. I’ve been there myself.

‎You know that feeling... 

‎You run ads to generate leads, 
‎You tell yourself, this is it.
‎
‎But on the day of the webinar, few people show up and then, silence.
‎
‎There is a specific kind of headache that comes from nowhere.
‎
‎In as much as the problem can be from the leads, you might also be shooting yourself in the leg.
‎
‎If you want to sell your course on WhatsApp, your interaction before and after giving out your lead magnet is everything.
‎
‎Let’s focus on the WhatsApp group.
‎
‎When leads join the group, most coaches welcome them and start telling them what they will learn.
‎
‎That's a mistake.
‎
‎There is a high possibility they have joined 2-10 other groups saying the exact same thing. 
‎
‎The moment they see yours, their interest drops.
‎
‎Instead...
‎
‎– Tell them what the class is NOT about (address what they’ve tried and failed at).
‎
‎– Create curiosity, let them anticipate your class.
‎
‎– Promise a specific gift for those who will be present.
‎
‎– Find a way to make back your ad spend almost immediately.
‎
‎Know this... most sales come from follow-up.
‎
‎And not all your leads will buy, it's totally okay.

In 2024, I was obsessed with scaling lead count.

‎In 2026, I’m focused on scaling Profit-per-Lead.

‎Back then, I was just obsessed with the volume.

‎I see that same obsession killing many coaching program or course sales today.

‎They celebrate 1,000 new leads, happy getting low cost-per-lead (CPL) with ads.
‎
‎But the celebration ends when the sales data comes in:
‎
‎– Email open rates are stagnant.
‎– WhatsApp messages are being ignored
‎– The bank account barely feels the impact.
‎
‎A low CPL is a great metric, but it’s a vanity metric if it’s not tied to qualified intent.
‎
‎If your strategy focuses on volume without qualifying the leads, you are just gathering a crowd of people who will never buy.
‎
‎You end up paying for a database of freebie hunters while your sales team wastes time chasing ghosts.
‎
‎So, let’s start here.
‎
‎Who is a Quality Lead?
‎
‎A Quality Lead is someone who has a real problem, the intent to solve it, and the willingness to invest money to make it happen. 
‎
‎How do you get these quality leads with ads?
‎
‎It starts with two things
‎
‎1. The Message (Copy)
‎
‎It should include strategic trigger words to speak only to the right person. 
‎
‎If your copy doesn't push the wrong people away, it will never pull the right people in.
‎
‎2. The Intent Filter System (Landing Page)
‎
‎It shouldn't just be a catch-all, It must include a qualifying friction point...
‎
‎...that forces the lead to prove their intent before they become your lead
‎
‎
‎Stop chasing lead count. 
‎Insead, focus on qualified intent.
‎
‎
‎Would you rather have 100 cheap leads or 10 intent-driven leads that will buy? 
‎

I almost invested in a business. Money sent.
‎
‎Then, I saw a red flag.
‎
‎I couldn't sign the MOU...
‎
‎He tried to use emotion to close me, but he didn't realize I understand how the game of sales works.😀
‎
‎Emotion works on me, sure, but never when the facts don't add up.
‎
‎Read this closely... I want you to learn something vital about selling your offer.
‎
‎I wanted to invest in ads for an e-commerce business. 
‎
‎Not a Ponzi scheme, I’ve done enough of those in the past to know better. 🧐 
‎
‎This was legit. 
‎
‎The ROI was enticing enough to make most people ignore the red flags.
‎
‎But I looked at the MOU carefully. 
‎
‎It stated there was no guarantee of getting back my capital, let alone a profit 
‎
‎Now, I don't expect a money-back guarantee since the capital is being spent on ads... 
‎
‎but there should have been a guarantee that the investment would be utilized by their experts to drive the best result.
‎
‎I requested my money back immediately.
‎
‎Here is the lesson:
‎
‎I initially sent the money because the profit was enticing. 
‎
‎That was emotion at work.
‎
‎But because I paused to look at the facts (Logic, in the form of the MOU), I backed out.
‎
‎In your business, you are dealing with two types of buyers:
‎
‎– Logical Buyers
‎The thinkers, driven by facts, data, case studies, and modules.
‎
‎– Emotional Buyers
‎Driven by desire, pain, fear, and status.
‎
‎To win, you must use both, but you must know which one to focus more on.
‎
‎– For Logical Buyers: Present more facts, data, and testimonials.
‎
‎– For Emotional Buyers: Focus more on  transformation story, the big promise, and social proof.
‎
‎Your job is to identify which type of buyer your lead is
‎
‎P.S. I am a logical buyer. I’m currently in someone’s funnel. He has sent several follow-up messages. If he gives me an irresistible offer with a touch of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), I’ll buy right now. Without it, I’ll eventually buy, but not today.
‎
‎The FOMO is the emotional trigger that overrides the logical delay.
‎
‎
‎Looking back at your last purchase, was it because of the Logic or the Emotion?

‎I once told someone the truth about selling a course.
‎
‎You'll keep finding it difficult to sell. 
‎
‎Perhaps you're making a few sales now, but scaling, It won't happen.
‎
‎He was smiling. I just nodded my head and joined him.
‎
‎Then he stopped smiling and asked, Why?
‎
‎Oh! You just processed what I said, I thought to myself.

‎Then, I gave him the three steps to actually selling his course:

‎1. Attraction (Organic or Paid Ads) 
‎↳  Get your offer in front of the right audience with a lead magnet.

‎2. Nurturing 
‎↳  Follow up with those who didn’t buy immediately. 
‎
‎Build trust, handle objections and move them to hot leads.
‎
‎3. Conversion 
‎↳  Present the offer again to the warm/hot leads. 
‎
‎Convert them into paying students.
‎
‎You can either do this manually or build an automated system that does it for you.

‎Either way, don't joke with it.

‎Imagine you are driving through Lagos, starving and craving Pounded Yam.

‎Examples:

‎– The 7-Figure Web Design Pitch-Deck 


‎2. The Anti-Failure Framework 
‎
‎This targets the fear of making a mistake, getting banned, or losing money.
‎
‎Formula: The Anti-[Pain] / [Number] Mistakes to Avoid.

‎Examples:

– ‎The Anti-Ban Checklist for Facebook Advertisers. (attract only advertisers)
