MyShowroom ltd was a retail tech startup focusing on the B2B eCommerce world. MyShowroom had 10 years experience in the traditional retail space and had created a long list of successful clothing suppliers to feed into this new and innovative eCommerce platform. 

I joined during the early development and pre-launch stages of this platform. I worked with the team on making sure we were matching the products value points with our target market problems and needs. I also created the frameworks needed to focus on product-market fit and ensuring we had the right product marketing and go-to-market plans in place. Research (understanding the market and ICP) and experimentation (channels and messaging) were at the core of this role.

PhysiotherapyIreland.ie

I created my own company after seeing a gap between the services that physiotherapists offer and the needs of the corporate health environment. PhysiotherapyIreland.ie was born to be the automated bridge between the two parties. The company grew to 7 people in 7 months, but after an annual review, I concluded that the business model I created could not keep the company finances healthy, and sadly, closed this service with care. 

As the founder, I wore nearly every hat I could think of within the operations of a business, from legal to customer support. This was such a great professional experience — gained through the wins, the fails, and the heartbreaks. This role has shaped my future and gave me a strong passion for continuous learning.

Findmypast is a UK-based online genealogy service owned, since 2007, by British company DC Thomson. The website hosts over 4 billion searchable records of census, directory, and historical record information.

I joined Findmypast to help with the delivery and launch of the new Irish focused platform, that targeted anyone searching Irish records for their own ancestry and family tree. I had a varied role, where I was a forum manager focusing on engagement and customer success. I also looked at content management and auditing, product and website testing for beta programs, customer research and design direction, exhibition and event support. video and audio manager, and product analytics.

Irish Education Partners has been managing work experience programmes for international candidates since 1989. An established player in the international youth travel market, Irish Education Partners has maintained a high profile and excellent reputation in this close-knit industry.

I was responsible for the work placements of foreign students into the Dublin workforce. I was the account manager with existing Irish companies who needed a professional internship service and I was the hunter for new Irish companies to support international agents and their interns.
