The climate agenda is critical for business and energy efficiency is the unsung hero. It is the first step towards net zero, with the potential to significantly reduce energy consumption in just one year. Most businesses do not realise how much energy they are wasting. With a background in international banking, finance, and aircraft leasing, I founded Vivid Edge to encourage greater investment and activity in energy efficiency. When I first started, climate change was not at the fore. So much has changed, but the critical role that energy efficiency can play is still often overlooked. At Vivid Edge, we partner with businesses to help them with their energy efficiency journey, from start to end, while they focus on their core business. Besides championing the climate agenda, I’m also a strong advocate for diversity! What I am very passionate about is empowering women and entrepreneurship, as a Fellow of Cartier International Women’s Initiative for female impact entrepreneurs and a Fellow of Barclay's Unreasonable global programme for impact entrepreneurs. Outside of Vivid Edge and my journey in entrepreneurship, I am also an independent non-executive director at Aviva Insurance Ireland and a board member of a Chicago charity, ‘A Greater Good Foundation’, that helps disadvantaged youth succeed.
