I’m a Product Designer at Birdie, where we believe that everyone deserves to age with confidence at home with their beloved ones and we use technology to make that happen. ❤️ A little bit about birdie Birdie is an agetech startup on a mission to reinvent the way we age. Birdie was founded to radically improve the lives of millions of older adults by providing digital tools (apps, IoT & machine learning) and services that put preventative care at the forefront. With a growing network of home care partners, numerous accolades including B Corp certification, Birdie is shaping a new kind of corporation that takes responsibility for our communities and our environment. A little bit about me I firmly believe in the transformative power of design to shape our future. I'm convinced that good design can lead us to a better world. At the heart of my philosophy lies a deep appreciation for design ethics. I'm eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share the vision of developing innovative design frameworks and product solutions that uphold ethical values and principles. My advocacy extends beyond design as I'm deeply committed to promoting gender equality, empowering minorities, challenging ageism stereotypes, and seeking common ground to foster a meaningful life. As an advocate of the "middle ground mentality", I draw inspiration from the unique blend of experiences in my life. Working from a tiny village in Italy while working remotely in bustling London, I've learned that good life is a balance between slowly savoured small moments and the ambition that sees endless opportunities. This duality has taught me that true success lies not in material possessions but in being able to savour simple pleasures, yet have a clear purpose in life. You don't have to be big to dream big. Having grown up in Romania, I'm well aware of the signs of manipulation and refuse to accept a one-size-fits-all approach. I strongly believe in the power of diverse perspectives and the value of exploring alternative possibilities. Beyond my roles as a product designer, I indulge my creative spirit as an illustrator and crafter.
