With over 12 years of experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL) to children aged 5-18, I am passionate about providing quality education and care that foster children's academic, social, and emotional development. I have a postgraduate diploma in education (PGDE) from the University of Ilorin and a bachelor's degree in linguistics from Yorùbá from the University of Ibadan. As the head of the English department at Alderwood International School Abuja, I coordinate the teaching and learning processes of the department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and achievement. I use various digital teaching tools and platforms, such as Hamilton Trust, Twinkl, and TES, to enhance student learning and interaction, and to create innovative and engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs and interests of diverse learners. I also collaborate with other teachers and staff to share best practices and resources, and to organize extracurricular activities and events that promote English language and cultural awareness. I am a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE), a social and emotional learning (SEL) advocate, and a Twinkl Nigeria brand ambassador.
