As a senior operations manager, I was responsible for a $20 million+ portfolio in a startup environment for Target's first flow center. I had 8 direct reports (operations managers) and 515+ direct reports (during peak). My main focus was guiding my operations leaders in maintaining high performing teams and meeting KPIs through continuous improvement, streamlined communication, and strategic thinking. During my time at Target I collaborated with HQ to standardize pack processes and partnered cross-functionally to set routines, improve processes, and implement new metric expectations. I served as the pack and sortation SME and aided in the training of my peers in standardized pack processes and minor servicing for LOTO.

Rent the Runway was my introduction into true warehouse management. I started in the Outbound department where I had 1 lead and 60+ direct reports. Eventually I was promoted to the QA department where I managed 2 supervisors with 100+ direct reports. In the QA department I was responsible for quality control, put away, and sortation, while aiding in inventory tracking. During my time there I guided my team to increased efficiency and quality through level setting goals, training, and consistent feedback. I helped to change manage our new line haul process, and worked with senior management to identify, create, communicate, and implement an improved FIFO process and metric reporting.

As a freelance consultant, I assisted clients with determining the best solutions for their business problems through honest and direct feedback, in depth analysis, and solid communication. I ensured there was a strong, flexible, change management plan in place and that all stakeholders understood the impact of the changes implemented.

As the fulfillment operations manager, I established merchant relationships and identified expansion requirements for the NY Google Shopping Express market. I utilized weekly reports and site visits to identify issues and collaborate with my Market Manager to address business needs. During this time at Google I helped to improve pack UPH, improve fill rate, and cut material costs through strict adherence to SOP, working to meet delivery SLAs, and nurturing the relationships with the vendors to ensure popular items were consistently replenished.

As an Opex lead, I spearheaded continuous improvement and geo-wide rollouts to align with the Google Shopping Express e-commerce strategy. I was the project manager for 10+ projects that maximized operational effectiveness and increased productivity. Through customer data scrubbing and operational observations, I transformed ad hoc processes into SOPs while standardizing our training tools.

Reporting into the Director of Retail Operations, one of my main responsibilities was to ensure compliance of all stores with USDA and state regulations. I oversaw the operations of 14 stores with combined sales of $8.5 million, managing a team of 21 direct reports (store managers) and 150 indirect reports. I aided my store managers in increasing sales and improving team culture through weekly store visits and coaching.

In the latter half of my Macy's career I managed the daily operations of $7 million+ department and team of 21 direct reports while also coaching level 1 sales managers. I am most proud of the work I did to help implement our new omnichannel strategy, decrease shrink through fitting room standardization, improve department scorecard and NPS through MAGIC selling, and have the #4 and #2 sales in Tommy Hilfiger and Style&Co brands respectively.

Staring as an EDP trainee, I worked to understand Macy's from both the associate and customer perspectives. I worked in three different stores, finally landing in my home store where I managed the daily operations of $4 million+ department and team of 15 direct reports. During this portion of my career, I focused on honing my skills in coaching and developing a team, while working to develop an ADS compliant men's department, and increasing sales in the dresses department through cross-functional collaboration with the visual and merchandising teams.

The Take Ten program is geared towards teaching students alternative ways to solve conflict beyond violence. As an intern, I was responsible for aiding the program manager with organization of the syllabus, and any administrative tasks. I also taught in the classrooms and helped set up events. What I enjoyed most about this program was being able to teach kids how to use their words, while being showing them that their surroundings did not have to define them.
