I imagine you're here because you want to know something about me. Well, let me start by telling you all the really hard things I've done (I mean the stuff that was life-changing, profound, and was the making of me in ways that I never knew was even possible).

2008 – left a crappy 18-year marriage. Looking back on it, I suffered coercive control (but like most of these toxic relationships, you often don't know these things until you leave — it made me personally).

2010 – no business experience, and with a deep desire to have autonomy and not be dictated to by traditional legal practices, I decided that I would set up my very own family law practice (it was the making of my financial freedom).

2022 – exhausted with being the ‘doer’ in the business, I made the difficult decision of letting go of the day-to-day operations of the business (it was the making of my 4-hour work week — and that’s another wonderful book, conversation and journey).

2024 – feeling bored and restless with the legal practice, I knew I had to find something else to do (that stuff is scary, and some deep soul-searching decisions needed to be made).

2025 – said goodbye to 17 years of a legal career and 15 years of running a professional services business (I have always lived by my truth and on my terms — but that was not easy!).

2026 – Ready, set, go … it’s all in HERA Women — empowering, educating, and elevating visionary women to build businesses and lives that truly give them freedom — because after all, that’s why every entrepreneur went into business!

This weekend, I’m celebrating 10 years of happily married life with this beautiful person.

They say the grass isn’t greener.
 They say finding healthy, long-lasting love  is rare even impossible.🫤

Yet here I am, living proof that not only is the grass greener…
 it’s also better, richer, and far more sparkling than I was ever told to expect.🎇💖✨

Meeting my life partner later in life with three children in tow remains one of my greatest joys.

Meeting him may have involved a little luck.

 But building a healthy, exciting, energising relationship ten years on?
 That took intention, courage, and conscious choice  from both of us.

And it’s absolute proof that relationships, when done well, bring us some of life’s greatest joy.

Here’s what I had to challenge and reject:-
i.    The myth that “the grass isn’t greener”( I lost count of the number of times I’ve heard this)
 ii. Better the devil you know (completely fear-driven)
  iii. The belief that happy marriages are just luck
 iv. That no one wants someone with “baggage”
 v. That second marriages rarely last
 vi. That the honeymoon phase is always short-lived
