At the beginning of the year, I committed to the practice of Mushin: no mind, no self, just flow with the current of the universe.

Now, almost 10 months later, I exist in a state of nearly permanent gratitude for all the experiences that the universe brings me.  I have established new relationships and built incredible things that have impacted numerous startups and organizations.  I do not have anxiety, I do not maneuver or strategize, I am just here existing as an authentic expression of my human creativity and experience.

What's interesting, too, is how little external events bother me; I am no longer emotionally affected by things beyond my control.  My existence is near permanent bliss, and I accept everything that happens.

The reason I am writing this post is to raise awareness that you can learn to enjoy your journey and be happy, no matter how difficult it is or what the outcome is.  I have no idea where my ventures will end up or what legacy I leave; that is not relevant.  What is relevant is that I am alive, I exist, and I am grateful for my own unique experience.

I am aligned, and I wish you all to discover that alignment for yourself.

I am grateful to AI Summit Vancouver for hosting me and empowering us to explore the question of human value in an age where AI can perform progressively more tasks faster and better than we can.

The key question is not what AI will become, but what we, humans, will become.  Our choices shape our civilizational training data, which in turn drives AI behavior.  As collective humanity, we will end up with a technological civilization that is our mirror, amplifying our choices.

In that sense, finding self-fulfillment for each of us becomes imperative if we are to achieve universal abundance across all three dimensions of human needs: material, intellectual, and emotional.

That's why the Economy of Wisdom Foundation exists, and I am looking forward to continuing to align AI with human fulfillment.

I watched my inspirational partner ♾️ sev geraskin, step onto the stage at the AI Summit Vancouver and share a profoundly visionary speech - Building the Economy of Wisdom Foundation: From Identity Crisis to Human Fulfillment.

✨ What happens when empathy meets enterprise?

A movement led by ♾️ sev geraskin with care and wisdom at the center of innovation.

🕊️ The Economy of Wisdom Foundation, a living framework for how to align what we build with what we feel.

In a summit centered on speed and systems, Sev’s message carried something rarer, a feeling of human empowerment in the age of intelligence.

His words left the audience hopeful, seeing AI as a partner for progress, for meaning, and a tool for collective care.

Sev spoke about how automation and AI are reshaping our sense of meaning and identity, reminding us that true well-being arises from harmony between our material, intellectual, and emotional lives.

Drawing from psychology, philosophy, and lived experience, he invited us to imagine a future where technology strengthens empathy, amplifies awareness, and expands our shared capacity to care.

Through research, stories from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside with community outreach and practice, Sev illustrated how AI can become a reflection of our collective intention, scaling whatever we choose to embody.

💛 One of those stories was of Grandpa Phillip, a cherished elder whose quiet strength continues to guide our work. His wisdom reminds us that care isn’t a transaction, it’s a transmission!

🌿 Seeing Sev on that stage was profoundly inspiring. His message wasn’t just spoken, it was embodied.

✨ His calm presence and clarity filled the room, you could feel people leaning in, nodding in quiet recognition.

A few whispered, “This is what we need to be talking about!”

When his talk ended, the energy in the room blossomed. People stayed, eager to continue the conversation.

💬 Many shared that they had been waiting all Summit to hear Sev’s message, one that centers humanity in the age of intelligence.

Over 4 billion people globally will suffer from a mental health condition in their lifetime, almost half of the global population. This is what I call a human unfulfillment crisis. The hedonic treadmill of our existing economic system offers a chase that temporarily gives us pleasure, but doesn't heal the 3 am ache so many of us experience.

As AI automation accelerates, many of us are facing layoffs and an identity crisis because so much of our identity is tied to our titles or affiliations. The accelerating automation exacerbates the mental health and human unfulfillment crisis, and we are approaching a state where the majority of people are not well, a quorum of judgment on the state of the existing economic system. Moreover, a billion knowledge workers worldwide are currently at risk of automation over the next decade.

Despite what many AI marketers say, AI is not going to provide universal abundance. AI systems, like any other system, follow the garbage-in, garbage-out principle. When fed data generated by the unfulfillment economy, they mirror that unfulfillment back at us, accelerating existing trends.

The good news is that each of you has a choice about which identity to take and whether to pursue the temporary dopamine rush of more purchases or deeper, balanced fulfillment across three-dimensional human needs: material, intellectual, and emotional. The choices you make generate the training data for the models, and thus, the unfulfilled human condition remains a human problem to solve, with AI scaling our choices.

I am sharing the slides from my presentations, which give you a sense of how you can get started with self-fulfillment and make choices that can build a wiser, more meaningful world.

Building EoW - From Identity Crisis to Human Fulfillment

Grateful to DAMA-Vancouver BC Chapter and Gordon Hamilton for hosting our keynote. It was a true privilege to share the vision for transforming AI interfaces through our AGI-DI dashboard and our work at PolarGrid, building GPU infrastructure to run open-source models at the edge.

Together with my dear friend Kris Krüg, we demonstrated how true innovation happens right here in British Columbia. We are leading the most significant technological transformation in human history by holistically building and sharing our vision: from a societal rethink via the Economy of Wisdom Foundation to new ways to interact with and derive insights from data via AGI-DI to building critical AI infrastructure at PolarGrid.

4th Annual DAMA Day - AI for Non-Profits

Honored to hear both my partner ♾️ sev geraskin and mentor Kris Krüg present the Keynote!

An inspiring day at the 4th Annual DAMA-Vancouver BC Chapter Conference hosted at Deloitte Vancouver and presented in partnership with Data for Good Vancouver, a collective helping charities and nonprofits thrive through data-driven insights.

This year’s theme, Crafting a Safe Strategy, brought together leaders from across data, governance, and AI to explore how smaller organizations and nonprofits can begin their AI journey with confidence, integrity, and care.

✨ Kris Krüg opened with his signature energy, drawing from over 20 years as a photographer, artist, and futurist, with work featured in National Geographic and Rolling Stone. As host of CBC/Radio-Canada’s “Sandboxing AI” and organizer of the BC + AI Ecosystem, Kris reminded us that the future of technology is multi-modal, multi-cultural, radically local, and deeply human. He shared how the Vancouver AI with the BC + AI Ecosystem community has grown organically over the past two years, showing how collaboration itself can become a form of infrastructure.

His live demo of our AGI-DI (Artificially Generally Intelligent Data Interface) platform - from a Vancouver AI Data Hackathon revealed how complex AI systems can be turned into executive-ready tools that help nonprofit leaders visualize impact in real time.

Together, their keynote bridged community and computation - a perfect reflection of how creativity, AI, and technology evolve in partnership.

It was great connecting with Susmit Sen, whose reflections on governance and integrity resonated deeply, David Gloyn-Cox and Javier Merino Maldonado for the insights.

With the news of Amazon cutting 14,000 jobs, with 30,000 at risk, and silent layoffs at many other companies, we have to ask if the government policy of giving money to enterprises to create jobs is the right policy for the AI age.

We currently have the following two trends:

1. The government sponsors enterprises to create jobs and raise their competitiveness
2. Enterprises invest in automation at progressively accelerated rates, maximizing efficiency

What made machine learning, and later generative AI, so successful is the Universal Approximation Theorem, which essentially states that any task that can be expressed as a computation can be performed by AI and therefore automated.

With a billion knowledge workers globally, it is feasible that a majority of the associated knowledge tasks will be performed by AI systems, with a fraction of key people providing oversight. With the rise of embodied cognition and robotics, this automation trend will eventually expand into blue-collar sectors as well.

At Economy of Wisdom Foundation, we believe that deriving human value from human productivity is becoming less relevant in the age of abundant intelligence, where machines can perform tasks faster and more efficiently. Being on the ground with the most underprivileged communities, we do not see the abundance from AI proliferation reaching those most in need, with homeless and semi-homeless populations growing.

The reason is that we do not recognize human value without associated productivity metrics, and social programs are, at best, insufficient. With a billion people globally risking losing privileged positions, there is no safety net to catch the newly unemployed.

So, we are starting a global Economy of Wisdom community with a goal of architecting a system that works for the AI age, defining human value, and a new set of GDP metrics. Reach out to me directly for the invite link, as we are personally curating the invites.
