AM Coffee Distributors is a wholesaler of premium coffee in the Coastal Carolinas.  They are local distributor for Downeast Coffee, Boston's Best, Ten Tall, Uniserve Single Serve Equipment and  Monin Gourmet.  We have primarily focused our efforts in the area of supplying restaurants, hotels, convenience stores and offices.

In 2013 we expanded our services to include mobile espresso bar and in 2015 we launched a Single Serve side of our distribution to cater to large and small office break rooms.

I am a CTE teacher at Ashley High School.  I teach 11th and 12th graders Personal Finance and all grade levels.Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.  I love working with this age group and being able to make a difference in their lives. Teaching was always something I wanted to do but I was discouraged by my parents when making my career and college choices.  If I never got that first job at Dunkin' Donuts I would have probably pursued a teaching career.  

In my second year here at Ashley I reactivated the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Chapter and we hosted a 10 speaker Guest series called CTE Talks in February 2016.

Dog Connection Inc.

This was a new business start-up that I created.  My entrepreneurial spirit juices were flowing and I enjoyed creating this business.  Dog Connection was an online retailer of premium dog food and supplies offering home delivery to residents in the Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas.  It was open for 2 years.  I created the business out of the love that I had for my new Pug Milo and wanting to feed him the best food possible.

Wilmington Donuts Inc. dba Dunkin' Donuts

My family and I owned and operated 4 Dunkin' Donuts locations in Wilmington, NC.  We purchased the franchise in 1994 with 2 existing units.  We quadrupled the sale of those 2 stores over the 16 years we owned them.  In 1996 we opened our 3rd location and our fourth opened in 2002.  We had over 100 employees and Gross Sales of 3 million dollars. 

We were recognized as award winning franchisees for standards and sales growth in the Southeast Region of the United States.  We were dedicated to the brand and our customers and were able to grow the coffee side of the business which was unheard of in South until we blazed the trail.  We introduced Wilmington to Flavored Coffees and Iced Coffee when we took over in 1994.  Iced Coffee was known back then as Cold Coffee and look at it now!! It's sold everywhere including convenience stores and McDonalds.

Yes it was really called Dunkin' Donuts University or DDU.  I was Corporate Trainer for Dunkin' Donuts.  I trained new Franchisees, their managers and new Corporate personnel on Dunkin' Donuts history, products and standards.  We had a 6 week training program for Franchisees that taught them everything from knowing how to make a Donut and the perfect Cup of Coffee to Learning about Cost Control and Inventory and profitability.

My dream job out of College! When I had worked for my franchisee in high school there was a man named Larry Foster who used to come in and do the standards inspections for Dunkin' Donuts Corporate.  I wanted to be Larry Foster!  

It took me 3 interviews and 2 years later post college and I finally got the dream job.  I had a district of about 50 plus stores in the North of Boston area.  I worked with some of the top franchisees in the country and assessed their store standards, launched new marketing programs and opened over 50 new stores.  

I loved this job and then was promoted to the Training Position at DDU.
