Here’s one truth I know 

I won’t be here in 100 hundred years. 


I grew up without grandparents. 

They lived halfway around the world, and I saw them six times.
But those times were monumental to me.

The first time I met them, they weren’t just people in a picture.  My oma was so happy to see me that she almost cried.  She kept touching me to make sure I was there. 

One night, my sister and I sat at the gate and watched the moon rise.  The sky was clear - the moon was so bright.

We had never witnessed that at home.   

I realize not everyone is excited about the solar eclipse, and really why should you give a damn🤷‍♀️ 

But I hope my grandson will remember it for the rest of his life and that he takes me with him. 

Your copy should be the same; you’re not going to connect with everyone
Just the right ones.

We only get one chance at this.

Things don’t come as easily for me. 
I have to work at it.
Yes, sometimes for years.
