UNDP in partnership with The Government of Japan (GoJ) & Community Roads Empowerment (CoRE) - have scaled-up Conservation through the Forestry and Land Restoration Action for Kenya (FLaRAK) project by sponsoring fencing of Identified Forests blocks as a way of sacred protection. Moreover,   establishment of Tree Nurseries in Community based organizations and Institutions (Schools) will enhance livelihoods & the access of tree seedlings to the Communities. This thus will broadens the essence of Tree planting Campaigns, therefore reducing the anthropological agents which exacerbate Climate change and entrenching the Mitigation/abating spectrums on the hazards.
Holistic development of resilient ,adaptive and sound policy approaches and or frameworks on the Conservation of Kaptagat Forest Ecosystem (Uasin Gishu & Elgeyo Marakwet Counties), Kakamega Forest Ecosystem (Kakamega & Vihiga Counties) and L. Magadi Ecosystem (Kajiado & Narok Counties).

-Setting up of model tree nurseries in Schools to complement the Tree planting campaigns and to scale up knowledge on Agroforestry practices in the society 
-Working towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals :no 1 No poverty no 2 Zero hunger by improving  livelihoods through planting of fruit trees species and earning income from the same. No 3 Good health and wellbeing, no 4 Quality Education , No 11 Sustainable Cities and communities,12 Responsible Consumption and Production,13 Climate Action, 14,15,16&17.
-Actively engaging the Parents, Teachers, Learners  (pupils) and the community at large in rigorous undertakings and forums in training/indulging in tree nursery establishment, tending operations to ensure solid framework in  spreading conservation through increase in forest cover (tree growing).

I received a message from a lady who retired from working for "a very mean tyrant boss." These were her words in quotations. She realizes now, that the stress, anxiety, and yelling that she endured was not worth 21 years of her life. She mentioned that his reason for running his business was always that he always did things this way since the 1980s. She wishes she was brave enough to seek better for herself.

This made me think:

▪️A salary does not guarantee you peace of mind. 

Change can be good.

The most dangerous 
phrase is: 
“We’ve always done it this way.”

▪️Finding ways to improve can help you avoid regrets later.

▪️Your happiness and peace are priceless.

If a only a million of this spp were to be planted.... ?

Forests and trees provide a life support system for humanity that will become increasingly important as temperatures rise and weather becomes more volatile, 

Many parts of the world already face huge water shortages that could in future become so extreme that they trigger conflicts, famine and mass migration,

Yet forests and trees are not yet widely recognised for the crucial role they play in ensuring water supplies and stabilising local climates,

🌳

“Excellence is never an accident; it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution, and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.” Good leaders understand this.

Instilling a culture of execution within your organization is about striving for excellence, and being effective as a leader plays a critical role in making it happen. 

When leaders acknowledge that they own the responsibility for shaping their organization's culture, they understand that success hinges on their actions and the influence they wield with the members of their team.

Good leaders exist to serve the needs of those team members.

Here are three of the most important things good leaders can do to create and sustain a culture of execution:

1) Lead by Example-Leaders must embody the culture they wish to implement. When employees see their leaders consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic, committing to goals, and remaining accountable to others, it sets a powerful precedent. When leaders model these behaviors, it encourages team members to do the same. This creates a level of accountability that supports a culture of execution from the top down.

2) Communicate Clearly and Align Goals with Objectives-Effective communication is key in an execution-focused culture. Leaders ensure their team members understand the organization's vision, mission, values, and strategic initiatives. When every team member understands their role in achieving organizational objectives, it facilitates a collaborative effort toward execution.

3) Empower and Trust their Team- A culture of execution is about empowering people to make decisions and take ownership over their job responsibilities, people, and goals. Trust is the foundation of empowerment, and leaders must learn to trust their team members' abilities and judgment. When people know they are trusted, they are granted the autonomy to make decisions within their responsibilities, they take ownership, and the execute more effectively.

It always starts at the top. Leadership excellence is the major ingredient needed to create a culture of execution. 

When leadership sets the right example, communicates goals effectively, and empowers and trusts its team members, it becomes an automatic process focused on achieving results. 

When leaders prioritize execution and embed it in their team’s daily pattern of management, they create an environment where everyone is committed to getting the results they need. In the aggregate, this drives the initiatives at every level of the organization, which in turn drive our strategic objectives.

If we are achieving our objectives every year, then it can be said that we are executing. If we are not achieving them...well, you know the answer. 

We can't think of getting to the results in any other way.
