VaxDash.us

Designed and built VaxDash.us using a data dump from JHU. Released in January 21, we visualized a rich and dynamic heatmap of covid vaccinations by state and in aggregate.

Our dashboard preceded those released by the CDC and Johns Hopkins. Clicking on a state would lead to the state's vaccine page. These features were thankfully copied and incorporated into the CDC's version after a couple months. 

Users of the platform included those curious about the current vaccination rollout, as well as health insurance companies doing research on the latest statistics. 

As the rollout became more complete, we decided to shut down the website. It was never our intention to monetize. 

My brother, whom I mentored through this process was able to get his first job as a full-stack developer afterward. Through this project, he was able to demonstrate his abilities to build an elegant, performant, and useful product. The project was his idea.

As a senior engineer, I led designs and implementation across our CTV advertising platform which handled upwards of 10B requests daily as part Telaria. We were then acquired by The Rubicon Project, which was later renamed Magnite.

8 Circuit Studios

We were among the first generation of blockchain-enabled web and mobile applications. 

I developed the first iOS and Android NFT-based game called "Alien Arsenal". 

The game logic was powered by an ETH contract, Aliens were backed by ERC-721 NFTs, and the game currency was 8BT token, which was an ERC20 coin. 

Additionally, I built an eCommerce store for purchasing in-game items with our cryptocurrency. These in-game items could be used across games.

We built tools to run marketing campaigns with influencer partners. Our platform was later acquired by Izea.

Software Engineer

Cask Data (acquired by Google)

At Cask we developed technologies to automate the provisioning of Hadoop clusters and other big-data technologies. This platform was later acquired by Google and incorporated into their Google Cloud Platform.

S&P Capital IQ

Built out Portfolio Analytics tooling. ReactJS / Express

Served as scrum master for two sets of distributed Dev and QA teams for the S&P Capital IQ investor platform. In addition, I gathered product requirements, drafted technical documentation depicting technical implications and changes, business impact, and implementation requirements.  The role included producing wireframes and product design. I communicated across engineering, and interfaced with investors to understand how to best meet the needs of the investing community.

I also used this time to digest as much as I could about the financial sector, investing, market analysis, technology, and leadership, while also working on several side projects as a software engineer during nights and weekends.

I grew up marveling at Windows 95, attempted to learn C++ "In 21 Days" at the age of 13, and went on to hack iPod interfaces in middle school. In 8th grade, my team and I came first in the Los Angeles History Day competition for the website category. 

I've always had a passion for computers, especially software. I've seen it eat the world, as well as the majority of my waking hours as I design, build, and strategize. 

At the moment, I am the Founder and CEO of LifeShack.com; with the aim of revolutionizing how people find work with AI.
