I post about this issue again after my previous post garnered only 40 likes, I've noticed that posts with numerous climate-related hashtags seem to experience reduced visibility due to social media algorithms. This is another concerning issue that needs to be addressed.

It's time to #MoveTheMoney! I know bullshit when I hear it, and there are so many financial companies that talk the talk but don't walk the walk. I've worked with them all—from BlackRock to BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank to JPMorgan—all the big players. I know when they're actually making a real effort versus just talking. I don't want to call out names, but I can just mention something......

Wow! So far $245 million will be moved away from fossil fuels since we launched the #MoveTheMoney campaign. Swedens new budget released today: 1 billion to aviation vs 100 MSEK to climate solutions!! Such policies seem less like governance and more like corruption to me. How can Sweden's Finance Minister defend these choices? As I happen to be invited to meet Elisabeth Svantesson at a breakfast roundtable next week, I will press for answers and advocate for a redirection of funds towards solving the climate crisis. We must move the money into the solutions, not the other way around!

The first day of #ChangeNOW, the world’s largest conference on climate solutions, is done! Over 35,000 people have gathered in Paris to explore solutions for the climate crisis. What struck me the most was the prevailing skepticism; even here, most people don’t seem to believe we can solve the climate crisis. I broached this topic with the audience before my keynote tonight, and only about 30% raised their hands in optimism.

My message was straightforward: If we, who are at the forefront of working on solutions, don’t believe we can overcome this challenge, how can we expect others to believe in our success? Optimism is a choice!

The message resonated. After my keynote, almost 100% raised their hands in belief.

So many impressions in just a day.

The climate crisis is a food crisis.

And the food crisis is a humanitarian crisis. There is no climate justice without ensuring that there is food justice.

So we say this to the leaders:

Stop investing in fossil fuels
Stop digging up and burning fossil fuels
And stop forcing fossil fuels back into the ground where we grow the food that sustains us

"As long as there is injustice, we'll be here fighting".

On each International Day of Forests, we encourage countries, Organizations and Communities to undertake local, national and international efforts to organize activities involving forests and trees, such as tree-growing/planting campaigns in their localities.
