Survey Manager

An onshore based Project Surveyor, with an increased focus on direct client relationships and support. Planning and implementing client project requirements throughout the project life cycle, ensuring efficient execution at all times. 

Lead Surveyor for several projects within the company, with the overall responsibility for executing internal and external survey requirements. Project involvement includes ROV and vessel MBE route/grid surveys, pipelay support, DQ levelling, pipeline inspection, ROV INS, structure/pipeline/spool installation and construction activities. 

Responsibility and involvement with sector-wide innovation projects to help drive cost saving within the organisation. Focusing on increasing mobilisation/calibration efficiencies and developing Artificial Intelligence within the industry to automate processes and develop remote support systems.

Senior Project Surveyor

Building on the experience gained at Susbea7 and Acergy as a Senior Surveyor and Reports Coordinator and demonstrating continued flexibility between the different roles, including the addition of the Project Surveyor role. This has meant more responsibility and closer involvement with areas such as survey sensor calibrations, internal and external client management teams to manage the different reporting workflows.

Planning and implementing project client requirements throughput project life cycles, ensuring efficient execution at all times. Verifying that the online survey equipment and software is set up correctly. Planning and implementing project client requirements throughout project life cycles, ensuring efficient execution at all times. 

Project involvement includes ROV and vessel MBE route/grid surveys, pipe lay support, DQ levelling, pipeline inspection, ROV INS and pipeline bundle installation. Producing survey reports, ensuring that the offline workflow is running smoothly and that the collected data is meeting the required specifications. Processing and comparison of predicted and GPS tidal data. Planning and implementing all routine survey equipment calibrations.
Conducting offshore HSE risk assessments. Troubleshooting of technical problems, for example, subsea position errors and sensor failure.

Successfully managing and ensuring the delivery of numerous survey reports and data deliverables. This involves QC/QA checks on all data deliverables. Liaising with clients regarding project specific requirements. Assisting in the development of survey procedures for accurate calibration of ROVs, GPS positioning software, prediction of tides and speed of sound measurements so that all data is within client tolerances.

Hydrographic Surveyor / Senior Hydrographic Surveyor

Acergy

Joined Acergy’s Survey Graduate Scheme in 2008. This was a comprehensive scheme designed to provide a strong foundation in hydrographic survey, this course was run in collaboration with Statoil. The graduate scheme helped develop an understanding of Acergy’s core business structure and survey theory (geodesy, satellite positioning, inertial navigation and underwater acoustic positioning).
The scheme was made up of a number of training courses including a hydrographic survey course run by Skilltrade in Rotterdam.  Various navigation/positioning/ courses run by Geograph and the Norwegian Hydrographic Office, all of which provided a great base to develop survey skills.

Responsibility for data acquisition, QC/QA of data, calculation and computation of survey results in marine environments. Gained experience in a wide variety of survey areas. MBE/SSS/SBP Seabed Vessel and ROV surveys, Pipeline/Structural Inspections, Pipelay Support, Counteract Installation, Parker Photogrammetry Support, Coral MBE/SSS/SBP and Visual surveys, DQ Levelling, LBL metrology Support, Kongsberg HAIN ROV INS, General Light Construction Support.

Hydrographic Surveyor

A dedicated, enthusiastic individual with over 10 years experience as a surveyor for global sub-sea
engineering companies. Have made key contributions to a number of successful projects (in a variety of disciplinary areas). A good communicator, strong interpersonal and analytic skills, a team worker who thrives in a dynamic environment.
