Commercial management of vessels on AG- EAFR and USG-Caribs/ECSA basis, all types of Clean Petroleum product cargoes plus vegoil. Liasing with Masters , dealing with headowners, Charterers, agents and Tech managers; arranging all voyage matters from start to finish, including bunker arrangements, tank prep,agency,guards, questionnaires, documentation,post-fixture settlement /claims resolution. Daily reporting of voyage/vessel P & L , billing approval and post-voyage Performance analysis.

Voyage Operations Frontline and Ardmore MR (CPP) Fleets

Maersk Broker (Asia)

Responsible for T Dry Vessel Operations (COA's and voyage) on Panamax , Supramax and Handysize predominantly Asia/Pacific Coal biz), System and Financial reconciliation, Accounts,Invoicing , Documentation, including CP's, and demurrage/ claims. Direct involvement with Owners , Charterers, agents -  involvement with principals on a continual basis for resolution of disputes, eg hire/documentation etc ,   with an emphasis on eliminating "post-box" aspect of broker ops.

BHP Billiton

Responsible for voyage and time charter operations of one of the biggest Capesize fleets employed in the Iron Ore trade between WC Australia and China and coal ex S America and EC Australia into Europe.

In charge of Bunker pricing strategy , purchase, overseeing supply and claim resolution for entire Cape TC fleet , with a budget of approx 24 million USD per month , purchasing against contract and sport market , delivering savings approx 500k USD against market per month.

Any views expressed are my own, 23+ years International experience in the Shipping and Commodities business, with experience in Operations, Ops Management, trading and broking roles in Tankers and Dry Cargo, bunker sales/purchasing, management and contract negotiation; claims management and conflict resolution,  within Shipowners and global trading houses, interacting with all stakeholders from Ship's crew up to CEO level. Responsible for consistently improving margins and processes.
