OpenAI just added editing to Dall-E 3: you can now modify anything on the image you generate directly in ChatGPT!

I'll show you where this feature is and how to use it directly in ChatGPT:


▶️ 1. Generate your image

Start by generating your image as usual.

→ Make sure you select ChatGPT 4 as a model.

→ Type in your prompt, e.g.:
"Create an image of an ultra-realistic portrait of a woman wearing a beret in the middle of a Paris street."

→ Then click on your image to access the second interface


▶️ 2. Add an element

→ Click on the new "Select" option at the top of your image
→ Select the part of the image where you want to add an element

→ Then enter your prompt on the right-hand side, e.g.:
"Add an orange kitten with two paws on her shoulder"

ChatGPT will edit and complete your image according to your prompt!


▶️ 3. Modify part of the image

As well as adding things, you can also modify what already exists:

→ Select the "Select" option and choose what you want

→ For example, you can change the eye color, e.g.:
"Make her eyes blue"

And ChatGPT takes care of applying the changes again.


▶️ 4. Tip: retrieve the prompt

ChatGPT updates your image's Dall-E 3 prompt in real time with your changes:

→ Click on the "i" icon to retrieve it at any time
→ This will allow you to generate similar images later (or adjust the prompt) if you wish!

This feature can be great for adding elements to the marketing assets you generate with Dall-E 3!

Modify anything on the image you generate in ChatGPT

Quick AI productivity tip I use every day:

Organize your browser tabs with one click.

Microsoft Edge can automatically create groups based on web page content and type.

→ Click on the Tab actions menu

→ Select "Organize Tabs"

→ Confirm by clicking on "Group Tabs"

You'll then find it much easier to navigate your tabs, and you can collapse certain groups for greater clarity.

Google's new AI tool allows you to have an ultra-productive 2nd brain. Here's how to use it (free):

You no longer need to organize, format or search for your notes using NotebookLM!


▶️ 1. Getting started with NotebookLM

Begin by signing in using your Google account.

→ Visit notebooklm. google
→ Create an account or sign in with a Gmail account

Note:

Currently, sign up is limited to users in the US. I'd advise you to use a VPN like me if you want to use it from a different region.


▶️ 2. Creating your first Notebook

Set up a new notebook for a specific project or topic.

→ Click the plus button to create a new notebook
→ Give it a relevant title
(e.g., "Project X Research," "Personal Knowledge Base")

→ This notebook will contain all related information

▶️ 3. Adding sources

Incorporate documents that the AI will use as knowledge sources.

→ Click the plus button in the sources column
→ Select from Google Drive documents, upload PDFs, or paste text directly
→ Insert up to 20 documents, each with a maximum of 200,000 words

You can check or uncheck sources to include them or not in what will be used by NotebookLM for your next prompt.

▶️ 4. Interacting with AI

Use the chat interface to converse with the AI based on your sources.

→ Type your prompt (commands, questions, …) in the chat box
→ You can also click on suggested questions for quick prompts
→ Ask follow-up questions to refine and expand on the information

Each time, NotebookLM cites the sources it has used in your documents. You can see them with a single click.

▶️ 5. Organizing key information

Pin important AI-generated content for easy reference.

→ Use the pin icon to save valuable AI responses
→ Keep pinned items in the top space of the screen
→ Optionally, you can ask the NotebookLM to incorporate the information directly into your conversation

You can also add your own notes, which can be used by NotebookLM to complete the information and take it into account in future replies.

Create your AI brain with this new Google tool

Copilot in OneNote allows you to find endless ideas: you'll never have a blank page and will be able to use AI as you write ↓

Here's how to do it in by combining notetaking and AI in OneNote for any subject (not possible in ChatGPT):

The goal is to create several different categories of ideas.

Then, generate the ideas themselves, which you can then use to create the first draft.

You'll be able to produce hundreds of different types of content from a single base!


▶️ 1. Generate categories

→ Open a new or existing notebook on OneNote
→ Select Copilot in the top right-hand corner
→ Use the prompt template below to generate the outlines of your ideas

Copy in one click to insert the response into your page.

Important note:

To access Copilot in OneNote, you must either be a Copilot Pro subscriber or have Copilot for Microsoft 365 enabled on your organization account.


▶️ Prompt template:

You're an [ROLE] focusing on [TOPIC]. Develop a series of content ideas that demonstrate how AI can [TASK]. Consider as much topics as possible. Provide examples of [TOPIC] that can be used for each task. Format your ideas as a list with bullet points.


▶️ 2. Generate ideas

→ Create a new page in OneNote in the same notebook
→ Choose one of the items generated by Copilot just before
→ Use the prompt template below to generate a list based on your topic

At this point you'll have a list with the main categories, which can themselves be divided into several different ideas.

You can of course repeat this operation for all the previous categories!


▶️ Prompt template: 

Generate a list of [TYPE OF IDEAS] that demonstrate how to [PREVIOUS POINT]. Focus on practical applications that can save time and increase efficiency. Ensure the content is accessible to [AUDIENCE], providing [INSTRUCTIONS]. Present the information in a clear and concise manner, using numbered lists to enhance readability.


▶️ 3. Create a draft of the content

All that's left is to choose an idea you've just generated and turn it into a draft.

You can use the example of the prompt below to write your own:

▶️ Prompt example:

Create a short beginner-friendly tutorial on “Automating Data Entry with Macros in Excel”. Break down the process into clear, actionable steps using bullet points. Include an introduction to macros, their benefits, and a step-by-step guide on recording a macro, writing simple VBA code with Microsoft Copilot AI, and running the macro to automate tasks. Ensure the tutorial is engaging and easy to follow, with examples to illustrate each step. Present the content in a structured format with headings for each section, and maintain an encouraging and supportive tone throughout the tutorial.

Generate infinite ideas using Copilot in OneNote

I use Copilot AI to train myself every day: you can turn it into a tutor to learn how to code ↓

Here's how you can use it to learn Python as a complete beginner (ChatGPT compatible):

▶️ 1. Select the right mode

- Go to Copilot (works with the free version): copilot .microsoft .com

- Select creative mode to use GPT-4 Turbo


▶️ 2. Enter the main prompt

Here's the prompt you can copy/paste from Copilot (or ChatGPT 4, Gemini Advanced):

Prompt:

"Act as a professional coding tutor specializing in Python and machine learning for complete beginners. Create a comprehensive study plan detailing specific timelines and resources, focusing on project-based exercises to solidify the learned concepts.

For instance, start with Python basics in the first two weeks using resources like Codecademy, then move on to data structures in Python, followed by an introduction to machine learning concepts using scikit-learn documentation, and conclude with a capstone project that applies all the learned skills. Ensure the plan is structured, clear, and provides actionable steps for learners.

Use a supportive and encouraging tone to motivate beginners throughout their learning journey. Provide your answer in a step-by-step format, with each step representing a week or a specific milestone in the study plan."


▶️ 3. Retrieve links (optional)

Prompt:
"Provide links to resources for each part of the previous plan."


▶️ 4. Create an interactive lesson

Example for the first part:

"Create an interactive lesson for the first part "Python Basics" based on the resources you recommended."

Turn Microsoft Copilot AI into a tutor

Windows Copilot has just been massively improved: it can now understand any file on your PC.

You can drag and drop a PDF, for example, and ask it to explain or summarize it.

Then it can take it into account for the following answers.

Closer and closer to a real AI computer.

Google Gemini AI is just amazing for creating charts: you can search for reliable data and visualize it easily ↓

Here's how to create and even modify charts using Gemini (even with the free version):


▶️ 1. Search and find data

Open Gemini (free version or Advanced if you have it) and enter the prompt below to find and structure data

▶️ Prompt example:

"Search and create a comprehensive table detailing the market shares of major search engines over the past decade (with one line per year and one column per search engine).

Ensure the table is clear, concise, and capable of being interpreted at a glance. Also give the link to the sources you used."

As Gemini is connected in real time to the Internet, it will give you up-to-date data and links to access it.

▶️ 2. Check sources

At the bottom of the table Gemini will give you the sources used to double-check their reliability

▶️ 3. Generate the chart

Gemini can create your chart in a single prompt.

▶️ Prompt:

"Using the data from the previous table, create a bar chart to visualize the evolution of market shares over the years."


▶️ 4. Edit the chart

Click on the bottom right of the chart and select "Customize" to access all options.

You can modify the title, axis names and chart type.

Now all that's left to do is to download the chart using the download icon!

Create any type of chart with Google Gemini AI

Microsoft has a free gallery of prompts ready to use: it's called Copilot Labs and it's accessible from any browser ↓

▶️ You can filter by apps and categories.

Note that most can also be used outside apps directly in Copilot web (or another AI chatbot).

Available categories are: Create, Edit, Ask, Understand, Catch Up

▶️ Click on a prompt to copy or share it

If you're logged into a Microsoft account (even a free one), you can save them for easy retrieval.

Copilot AI can write new content in YOUR style from any web page for free (prompt included) ↓
  
This works with GPT-4 in the free version of Copilot in Microsoft Edge. 
 

▶️ 1. Web page and Copilot
 
→ Open Microsoft Edge on Windows (or download it for free on macOS, iOS, Android)
 
→ From any web page whose information interests you, open Copilot at the top right on laptop and at the bottom on mobile
 
→ Select "Creative" mode to use GPT-4
 
 
▶️ 2. Enter the prompt
 
→ Copy and adapt the prompt template below
 
→ It's optimized to use only information from the current web page and to copy your own writing style
 
→ Copilot then takes care of writing your new content
 
It works perfectly for social network posts, a blog article, a newsletter, and more.
 
 
▶️ Prompt template:
 
"Answer from this webpage. Craft a [CONTENT TYPE] incorporating the key details from this article. As a seasoned [CONTENT TYPE] writer known for engaging and informative content, ensure the new [CONTENT TYPE] mirrors my ([YOUR NAME]) unique writing style, as demonstrated in the provided example below (keep the same sentence length, tone, structure, etc.).
 
Focus on distilling the essential information, updates, or insights from the webpage that will resonate with my audience. Make sure to copy my introduction and conclusion style and use markdown to structure your answer.

▶️ 3. Check information
 
→ Copilot automatically mentions the parts of the page it has used
 
→ Click on the numbers to double-check the content
 
You can also ask Copilot to make changes to the content it has just generated, both in terms of content and form.
 
 
▶️ 4. Export content
 
You're done! All that's left to do is copy Copilot's final response.
 
You can then paste it into a Word document to adjust it to your needs.
 
By default, the prompt generates a markdown response, which automatically produces well-formatted titles and links.
 
▶️ Important: I strongly recommend that you credit the original author of the article used to create your content.

Generate infinite content from webpages with AI

Microsoft Designer allows you to create ANY design for your social media using AI (for free) ↓

It uses AI and Dall-E 3 continuously to help you create your visual.


▶️ 1. Post type

→ Go to Designer (designer .microsoft .com)
→ Log in with a free Microsoft account
→ At the bottom of the home page select a design type


▶️ 2. Create the basic design

→ Select the "Ideas" icon at top right
→ Describe in a few words the design you want to create

Prompt example: "a [social media] post wishing a happy easter to an audience interested in artificial intelligence"

→ Designer AI will make several suggestions:
Click on the one that suits you best


▶️ 3. Generate an image

You can generate an image with Dall-E 3 at any time:

→ Select "Visuals" then "Generate"
→ Write your prompt, e.g.:

"a blue robot playing with an Easter bunny in claymation 3D style"

→ Designer generates 4 images that you can place anywhere on your visual or use as a background


▶️ 4. Use AI suggestions

Designer continues to suggest new designs based on what you create:

→ Click again on the "Ideas" icon at top right
→ Select one of the suggestions if you wish

All that's left to do is change colors, fonts and add elements in just a few clicks!


▶️ 5. Download the result

→ Select "Download" at top right
→ You can choose PNG, JPG or PDF format

It's as simple as that!

Create your Social Media posts with AI

I've just received access to Meta AI: its reasoning, web search and image generation capabilities are really good ↓

I wasn't expecting anything, but I'm going to keep using it.

Here are a few examples and how to access it:


▶️ 1. Writing and summarization

Meta AI can write content and summarize texts just like any other AI chatbot.

But I was surprised to see that it even accepts very long prompts:


▶️ 2. Web search

It's also possible to ask for very recent information, as it's connected to the web.

Meta AI then uses Bing to find what it needs for its answer.


▶️ Tip: double-check

You can click at the bottom of the answer to access the source websites.

This is useful for checking the info and making sure it's reliable:


▶️ 3. Image generation

Start your prompt with "/imagine" to create an image.

E.g.: "/imagine an astronaut riding a horse on the moon, earth in the background, ultra realistic style"


▶️ Tip: edit images

Click on the image and then on the edit icon in the top right-hand corner.

You can then directly crop your image, add filters, text, stickers, etc..:


▶️ 4. Logical reasoning

Meta AI is also surprisingly good at solving basic mathematical problems... even more than ChatGPT free.


▶️ How to access Meta AI

Meta AI is currently being deployed in Meta apps (Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger) and on the web at Meta .ai

For now, it's limited to this list of countries - I accessed it with a VPN from EU.

To check whether you can use it:

- Open one of the above-mentioned apps or website
- Look for the Meta AI icon in the top right-hand corner of conversations.

How to use Meta AI to create anything

Absolutely stunning: Microsoft has just released Phi-3 Mini, an AI model that you can use locally.

Llama 3 8B was the most powerful small AI model a few hours ago.

But Phi-3 Mini is better in almost every benchmark!

You can use it locally for free as it's open-source (details below):

▶️ 1. Download LM Studio - it's free, open-source software that lets you run any open-source AI model.

Go to lmstudio .ai, then download and install the one for your OS.


▶️ 2. Get Phi-3

Search for "Phi-3" on the home page, select "microsoft/Phi-3-mini-4k-instruct-gguf" and, in the list on the right, download the Q4 version.

The Q4 version is lighter and faster, but has a little more loss than the "fp16".


▶️ 3. Start using Phi-3

Click on the chat tab in the left-hand menu and on "New Chat".
Select the Phi-3 model is selected in the top bar. 

Then write and send your prompt!

AI integration in Gmail saves me hours of work: you can summarize conversations, write or reply very quickly ↓

Here's how to use and access it if you also use Gmail on a daily basis:


▶️ 1. Access Gemini and summarize

- Open Gmail and click on the "Ask Gemini" icon in the top right-hand corner

- You can access it at any time - either in your mail list or in a conversation

(If you don't see it, take a look at the end of this thread to find out how to activate it).

- Click on a suggestion or write a prompt to ask Gemini to summarize your conversation


▶️ 2. Check the source

To ensure the reliability of the summary, you can double-check the source:

- At the bottom of the summary, select "Sources"

- Then click on the e-mail mentioned so that Gemini can display it for you to read


▶️ 3. Reply with "Help me write"

Let's move on to what literally saves me several hours a month:

- Click on "Reply" to any e-mail

- A blue "Help me write" button appears at the bottom of the text field

Again, if you don't see it, feel free to have a look at the bottom of the thread


▶️ Describe your answer

- Summarize in a few words what you want to say in your reply

E.g.: "tell him we can postpone the meeting to a time that suits him better"

- Then click on "Create"

- Gemini will write you a well-written reply, taking into account the conversation you've had with your recipient

All that's left is to insert the reply before sending it


▶️ Refine your message

- After generation, you can ask Gemini to modify the response

- Click on the "Refine" button to display the options

- You can choose between "Formalize", "Elaborate", and "Shorten" to modify it in one click


▶️ 4. Writing a message with AI

"Help me write" also works for writing a mail from scratch:

- Click on Gmail's "Compose" button and enter your recipient and subject as usual

- Again, the button appears and works in the same way as for a reply

The difference is, of course, that Gemini doesn't take a conversation into account as a context, because it doesn't yet exist.


▶️ Accessing Gemini in Gmail:

You have 2 options for accessing these features:

- Be a Google Workspace Labs user (available in 170+ countries): workspace .google .com/labs-sign-up

- Or use a Google One AI Premium subscription:
it gives you access to Gemini Advanced, "Help you write" in Gmail and Docs, and much more.

Note that the two options are compatible with each other, as Google One AI Premium does not yet offer the possibility of summarizing a conversation.

AI integration in Gmail saves me hours of Work

Microsoft is turning Windows laptops into AI PCs with Copilot: it's the most powerful update deployed so far.

I've been using the new feature that reads any file for a few days.

3 quick examples to understand why:


▶️ Analyze uploaded documents

Copilot in Windows can now process and understand various file types.

It allows it to:

- Extract relevant information
- Summarize key points of the document
- Understand the structure and content


▶️ Answer questions about the file

You can ask Copilot questions directly related to the content of the uploaded file.

For example:

- "What are the main conclusions of this report?"
- "Can you summarize the key action items from this meeting notes file?"
- "What's the max turnover in this spreadsheet?"


▶️ Generate text based on the file

Copilot can use the information from the file to aid in text generation tasks.

Examples:

- "Write an email summarizing the findings of this report."
- "Create a presentation outline based on this document."
- "Draft a response to the questions raised in this email, addressing the points in the attached document."


Having this kind of feature natively available at any time is really powerful.

It's completely free and being rolled out gradually.

And if you're on macOS or don't have access yet?


You can access the web version on the Copilot website (or via Copilot Edge).
The feature is also being rolled out here.

Less convenient than Windows integration, but has the same capabilities.
