As the saying goes, if you love what you do, then it’s not work. Working smarter rather than harder is something I’ve always believed in too, and now I’ve achieved both. I truly love what I do! Woohoo....... Let me explain how you can be the captain of your life’s journey and enjoy a Real Work Life Balance as well as financial freedom. A bit about me so I’m not a total stranger to you…… LIFE IS A JOURNEY: Earlier in my career, by the time I was 30, I had risen to an executive level with Australia’s top retailer at that time. I realized that I didn’t want to go to the next level up though, as that would have seen me stuck behind a desk with endless boring meetings and tedious reports to write. That was definitely not me! So, I took myself on a different path in a different city and found my niche again. I’ve always relished change and getting out of my comfort zone never really fazed me. I’m that ‘glass half full’ person and with that positive mindset, it’s led me on new paths and exciting career and life experiences. Gee, I was even a flying instructor in light aircraft for a time! I’ve never liked to conform or do what others expect. I love to be different, stand out from the pack and feel free! And I’ve always believed in myself, which is an important attribute for all of us to have. What I didn’t realize until I was being interviewed recently about my career and life journey, is that I’ve had an entrepreneurial streak for many years without being aware of it. Hence, I now term myself ‘The Accidental Entrepreneur’. Where has that led me to now? PERSONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT: I never saw myself as being in the personal development arena although I’d been helping people regain their self-esteem and confidence over a few decades using various methods. It’s just something I did. Now that I realize what it is I’ve been doing all of these years, I decided to turn it into a business that provides me with a ‘Real Work Life Balance’ and doing something I’m passionate about. I now have the flexibility and portability to run my business whenever and wherever I choose and it’s giving me the time and financial freedom I’d been seeking. I’m focusing on training and mentoring people to create success on their own terms. It starts with self-belief, a positive mindset and combining that with determination and persistence and ‘having a GO’ as I like to say!
