As the first engineering hire at LOOM, I took the web app they’d built with an agency and launched it publicly. I was responsible for the entire tech stack: front end app (Next.js), back end (Python / Flask), API-only CMS (Contentful), Stripe payment API integration, k8s container management and hosting on Google Cloud, and DNS. I worked closely with our product team to incorporate feedback from the invited beta users into the version we launched publicly in May 2021.

Performed single-molecule experiments on DNA loop 
nucleation kinetics, using dynamic force spectroscopy.

Canadian Institutes of Health Research

Worked with a team of scientists to determine the 3D structure of the Cardiac Troponin C protein with a point mutation, using multidimensional NMR spectroscopy.

Staff Scientist

Laboratory of Physical and Structural Biology

Performed a monovalent salt titration on ordered DNA condensates through a liquid-crystal phase transition, measuring interhelical spacing by small-angle X-ray diffraction.
Carried out a full fluorescent labeling procedure on two oligonucleotide fragments: fragment cleavage, PCR, fragment terminus modification, dye reaction, and electrophoresis gel assays.
Learned from leading theorists about the problem of phase transitions in ordered DNA condensates, and osmotic stress in polymer systems.
