Directed product strategy & development of the End User Experience portfolio enhancing user engagement in bswift’s employment benefit management platform. Team size of 5-10 in an 1100 employee company.

To address an unscalable and costly UI platform hindering growth, I led the transition to a React-based employee portal, resulting in 5x faster load times, enhanced scalability, increased customer satisfaction, and annual license savings of $6M.

Launched a new mobile app with over 10x as many downloads as the previous version in 6 months. 

To address high call center costs, I integrated Emma Virtual Assistant chatbot on legacy technology, expanding access to 2.2M users and saving $300k.

Vice President, Product Portfolio Strategy, End User Experience

Activate Care

Defined and led Product Strategy for Path Assist (SDOH Health Equity tech-enabled service) & Community Care Record (Care Coordination SaaS). Hired and led a 5-person product team in a 60 employee startup. 

To capitalize on a new market need for Medicare recipients, I drove the build of an MVP to support a Path Assist pilot to prove operational feasibility. Established an omni-channel client recruitment strategy which led to a 70% SMS opt-in rate for Medicaid recipients.

To improve measuring outputs and facilitate innovation, I introduced a measurable Outcomes-based Product Roadmap, aligning Product OKRs to launch Path Assist for its first customer.

Set new pricing for Community Care Record to update an outdated pricing model, leading to an additional $560k in renewal revenue in 2H 2022.

Head of Product

To address an immature product development process, I spearheaded the implementation of a scalable, Agile product management practice, resulting in faster, higher-quality product launches, a 50% increase in monthly new patient records during 2021, and $800k in new sales.

Served as the interim Head of Product for 5 months, ensuring that the product roadmap and strategy were aligned with company goals. Presented the Product strategy and roadmap to the Activate Care Board to justify Product Development spending. 

Led the build of software features for a Path Assist pilot to prove operational feasibility and commercial viability.

CarePort Health

Contributed to the roadmap and drove the build of new features for CarePort Care Management, supporting a $55M ARR client base.

To address poor software quality and client attrition, I drove the rebuild, modernization and launch of the Careport Denial Management platform for over 200 clients, resulting in a 20% improvement for appeal documentation times and decreased client attrition.

Facilitated all user and market research for the rebuild to identify market needs, addressing the $262 billion cost burden on US healthcare.

Facilitated user research and provided design inputs to support Discharge Planning COVID-19 positive patients into post-acute care.

Ensured User-Centered Design processes and UI Style Guide recommendations were followed to deliver a consistent user experience as the UX lead.

Led integration efforts to send post-acute referrals to providers as part of a new product initiative for CarePort Transition. 

Acted as Scrum Master for onshore development team to establish Agile processes and ensure business priorities are completed on schedule.

Lead all product efforts to build a Skip Logic feature for an assessment tool in the Allscripts Care Management/Care Director 18.1 release; including requirements gathering, UX design, sprint prioritization, and release planning. 

Lead the integration and vendor certification of MCG Care Guidelines edition 22 with the Allscripts Care Management 18.1 release.

Led all User Experience activities for a series of Revenue Cycle Management applications. 

Provided industry insights toward the development of a Population Health Management application.

Facilitated prioritization of user stories, market knowledge, and wireframes to support the development of an iPad-based patient satisfaction survey tool to release a startup MVP.

Designed new concepts to add a patient Loneliness Screener and Patient Profile features to the application.

Executed all UX/HFE activities in the development of the Valleylab FT10 and next generation electrosurgical generators; including touchscreen UI design, Formative and Summative usability testing, and use error risk analysis.

Supported multiple projects as an Interaction Designer; including a surgical retained sponge detection system, a cardiac ablation generator, and the Valleylab Exchange software download tool.
