I lead the IOP's relationship with our member networks - Special interest Groups, Nations, and Branches – to ensure that more members can fully participate in, contribute to and experience great value from their membership. 

Our member networks make IOP activities accessible to members of the physics community. This includes the delivery of an engaging and collaborative programme of talks, conferences, meetings and networking events.

I lead on engagement and driving forward an improved culture of member engagement and involvement across the IOP. 

I do this through optimising the activity of the member network across the nations and branches in the UK & Ireland. Creating a "one-team" approach with members across committees, volunteers and staff. 

I lead a team of Branch Support Officers who  enable and support branch committees so that more members are engaged with the IOP and the wider physics community.

I led and ensured the ongoing high performance of the Strategy, Planning & Performance directorate. 

I oversaw the development of a new multimillion-pound fundraising campaign strategy and an agreed set of operational priorities for the Fundraising & Supporter Development department. This included a clear strategic 5-year roadmap, with realistic cross team plans and KPIs in place.
I also was responsible for the implementation of a number of key projects, including a new campaign launch, values based recruitment, a Talent Development Framework, strategic planning, performance management and reporting activities, development of a portfolio of priority fundraising projects and the governance process.

Family Lives

I was a member of the Senior Management Team (leading a regional team of 6 managers, with responsibility for a further 25 staff & 90 volunteers) I was responsible for leading on project management, training, cost effective service delivery models and  quality standards. I overhauled service standards, introducing new procedures which improved quality and standardised the service delivered to vulnerable families.
I led the replication and scaling of an evidence based school’s programme with a view to increase income, reach more young people and improve mental health, through a social franchising model.

Senior Project Manager

I delivered a high profile, central Government funded market development and quality assurance programme, including the creation of a quality mark and assessment process used by over 200 organisations as a benchmarking tool.
I grew a network of a range of stakeholders through regular communication and capacity building events from 4 organisations to over 1000, and retained a 94% satisfaction rate. 
I co-designed and initiated a multi stream marketing & communications "nudge" campaign reaching 7 million people.

I led the co-design, development, marketing and sales of high quality training programmes for health professionals in private, public (including the NHS), social care and third sectors leading to a 50% increase in training sales in 10 months.

I led the co-design, development and successful implementation of a competency and role specific learning framework and the organisation’s first graduate development programme.

I led the successful development, management and implementation of the UK wide Volunteer Strategy, budget and programme increasing voluntary membership by 80% in 5 years
