Localyyz 

As a #1 Trending app in Shopify app store in 2019, Localyyz is a fashion e-commerce startup curating the best deals and products on a simple-to-use app. Fashion is a huge market where choices are limited by large corporations that have their best interest in mind. We're taking a value-first approach, curating the best deals and giving shoppers more choices to find the best price and product combination anywhere, all in an easy-to-use mobile interface.

Chango

Acquired by Rubicon Project Inc in 2015.

Daily oversight of real-time bidding system written in Golang and Python.

Cowrote and implemented a C/Golang Aerospike UDF wrapper system, enabling real time access to user search data, impression frequencies and exchange mappings at bid time.

Works daily with media exchange networks (ie Yahoo RMX, Google Adx, etc)

Corewrote real-time bid monitoring system (ADF) in Golang, improving speed, stability and accuracy. 

Improved and implemented a query-able events stream using Elasticsearch API. Migrated live data stream system from Python to Golang.

Software Developer

Infrastructure RTB (Real-time Bidding) system at Chango consists of in-house developed Adservers, Collectors and Bidders written in Python. Helped maintain a cluster of servers and ensured smooth operation of daily bidding on Exchange networks, data collection and Ad serving. Worked with Facebook Exchange and ensured smooth integration into Chango's existing RTB system, basically enabling advertisers to buy ads on Facebook using Google search data.

Worked with Disco distributed file system (DDFS), map/reduce library Inferno. kyotocabinet hash-mapped key-value store, HP Vertica, Postgresql. Python socket ZMQ, CI Service Jenkins. 

Downtime personal projects included data visualization using d3 on incoming search term collections, internal hardware page (SoftLayer API) for hardware reboot/ticketing.

Infrastructure Engineer

Developed Ruby on Rails and Python Django dashboard. Maintained old reporting console in Rails. Phased it out for a newer and better maintained version in Python Django. Developed a multi-application django project for both external and internal interfaces. External web application lies completely on top of customly developed API, uses AJAX to obtain/update data from/to server. Optimized client facing system, worked to improve speed and stability. Other experiences includes deployment process using Fabric (django application) and Puppet (in usage with Nagios). Query caching (memcached).
