When a client sends numbers as strings in JSON, here’s what you need to do on the server side:

By default, when working with JSON, .NET uses System.Text.Json.

It’s strict about number formats. What does that mean?

If your server receives a payload where numbers are represented as strings, you’ll run into errors like:

“The JSON value could not be converted to System.Int32.”

So what’s the solution?

A single configuration tweak in Program.cs that tells the serializer to correctly read numbers from strings.
