I am a Predica IT consulting company group founder and successful business executive working in IT industry for 15 years. Currently, I am working as a supervisory board member and as an investor and operational advisor in the Internet of Things technology start-up Tedee. During my career, I went through various positions and managed various areas. Starting from IT systems architect in my own co-founded company, I soon moved into a management role, where having teams of people I managed how professional and managed services are delivered specifically in the times of rising agile and lean approaches. After successful development of the relationships with major clients in Poland, the EU, US and the Middle East, I decided it was time to focus on building the company ‘internals’ - the operational backbone - as we were reaching the point where further company growth would be limited because of vague operational processes typical for small-to-medium companies. That’s when I became a business and operational processes lead - COO. In the role, I was using my IT approach and project delivery method to incrementally build interconnected processes spanning throughout all teams both business-specific and supporting functions (HR, Finance, IT, Marketing) complementing them with an in-house IT set of solutions which supported data gathering and information exchange among the teams. Last, after establishing all the functions and building the teams and their leaders, I delegated all management responsibilities, and I acted as a leader and mentor for other C-level positions becoming a board member. Such a journey allowed me together with my co-founders to build the company and execute its yearly business plans with 30-60% YoY growth over the period of the last 6 years. I’m an open-minded advocate of extreme ownership, operational efficiency, organisational cultures and data-driven decision making. I believe in the strong cultural, values-based aspect of people management enabling to build effective and resilient organisations. A self-managed way of leadership enhancing people to take autonomy and responsibility in how they act was always my top goal when managing individuals and teams. I learned that to achieve this, I need to build people’s professional maturity so that they can enjoy freedom remembering about responsibility. Therefore, I also became ICC certified coach to more effectively lead and grow the people I work with.
