In her earlier assignment, she had led a Global Edtech Company into Assistive Technology supporting multiple intelligences and Neurodiversity in India as Country Head. She helped set up the company from scratch , and expand to a global delivery support centre over a period of 4 years. She is currently an Advisor to an early stage Edtech company in the K-12 space & a UK based Edtech company working both in the K12 & higher Ed space ( for Indian, UAE & BD mkts ). Payel is working on her own venture besides dabbling with Angel Investing on the side. Her recent investment involves a Fair-trade ethically sourced D2C startup and a Lounge Bar in Delhi. Frugal high-growth profitable businesses with positive Cash flows interest her. Prior to this, she has worked in Education, skill dev & training, retail management & pharma with some of the leading brands. She has a Masters in Lifesciences ( Cytology & Genetics) , an MBA in Marketing and has trained in Strategy from IIM Bangalore. She is passionate about law and activism, social justice and supports various causes related to women-empowerment and Disabilities.
