⦿ Spoke and presented several times in front of large crowds of students about my placement experience. Took part in multiple Q&A’s and gave advice, support and further guidance in their search for placements and graduate opportunities.
⦿ Helped to arrange and publicise information about career development events, available vacancies and placements.
⦿ Worked on the organisation of the School of Computing Employability Week, which involved taking part in and supervising helpful career development sessions for students. Organised and set up rooms, helped guest employers and created the poster for the event.
⦿ Contributed to regular employability events such as the organisation of ‘Develop Your Professional Skills’ events and 1-on-1 sessions with other students. Promoted events using Eventbrite and regular blog posts, including liaising with various teams across the University.

Student Employability Intern

⦿ Software Engineering role working on an IBM Cloud Enterprise massaging platform based on Apache Kafka. 
⦿ Collaborated with people around the globe while managing projects on my own. Deployed a new dedicated environment which included order and configuration of bare metal servers, network certificates, IP whitelisting, deploying services and apps using Jenkins jobs and updating Grafana and Kibana dashboards. 
⦿ Worked in a full CI/CD environment using Agile methodology based on a week or two-long sprints. Kept the team and me updated through daily scrums and ensured 24/7 availability of the service. 
⦿ Engaged in problem analysis and outlined implementation details on new features. Contributed to resolving rate-limiting issue at a data centre. Worked on the deployment of a new service plan into five regions, which included an investigation into issue with a Network Load Balancing, DNS registration and configuration, validation and testing. 
⦿ Wrote a Slack bot with GitHub integrations in GoLang which outputs information about a GitHub pull request. 
⦿ Coded, fixed and maintained modules and features in the codebase on a daily and ad-hoc basis. Worked on customer related issues and alerts through PagerDuty and GitHub. Wrote and ran Jenkins jobs to make promotions in different environments. Used Kubernetes and CLI to investigate and resolve problems occurring in clusters, pods and workers within environments.
