➡️ The “Images + Products” combo absolutely destroys “Products Only.” 
➡️ For the cost… this is 100% something I’ll add to all my e-commerce accounts moving forward. 

Here are the settings, in case someone wants to copy the structure: 
✔️ Feed ON 
✔️ No target CPA 
✔️ Convert goal: Purchases 
✔️ Bid equally new/existing 
✔️ All devices 
✔️ All day 
✔️ Simple 2-ad-group split test. 

Just clean, objective testing.

Stop arguing about Strategy vs. Execution. You are missing the point.

How I Improved Sales on Google Ads for a Beginner Instrument Brand

A while ago I worked with a company that sells beginner musical instruments.

Instead of jumping straight into “optimizations,” I did something most people skip:
- I mapped out what the beginner actually cares about before buying.

I used a simple Critical Success Factors process:
- Plays in tune
- Durable and easy to maintain
- Comes ready to use
- Strong warranty and support

Then I compared these factors with the main competitors in the space.

And something became very clear:
This brand wasn’t the biggest…but it was strongest on the things beginners value the most — especially tuning, durability, and support.

So I rebuilt the entire Google Ads strategy around those strengths:

I usually analyze trends with a Looker Studio dashboard built by myself.

I do this for Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

Per platform, I have 3 pages:
- Daily performance (all time)
- Weekly performance (comparing with previous week)
- Monthly performance (comparing with previous month)

Ultimately, over the years in performance, I optimize everyday but I am always looking at least at a 7-day window.

This gives me a constant overview of the accounts. 

It tells me if we are trending down or up and helps me to anticipate all the scenarios.

It helps me manage expectations from clients. And manage expectations is very important.

With this dashboard, we can also always see the month over month growth.

Everyone in e-commerce will need to move to this month over month growth mindset in 2026.

People that are pretending to manage clients and don't have a growth mindset are not going to be in good shape in 2026.

The "Random Acts of Marketing" Trap

Most marketing activity is just "Random Acts of Violence" against your budget.

I recently read The Art of Clear Thinking by Hasard Lee (a former F-16 fighter pilot). He wrote a paragraph that explains exactly why 90% of marketing campaigns fail to move the needle:

"Without clear objectives... our minds will default toward urgent tasks, whether they’re important or not."

Read that again. We default to urgency, not importance.

In my 15 years managing $175M+ in ad spend, I see this every day. We launch a new Meta campaign because we "need to launch something." We change a landing page headline because "it feels stale." We bid on a keyword because a competitor did.

This is Random Marketing. It feels like work, but it’s just noise.

To stop the bleeding, you don't need a better algorithm. You need Discipline.

I have a simple rule. Before I (or anyone on my team) clicks a single button inside an ad account, we must answer 3 questions. If you can't answer them, you don't get to launch.

The "Intentionality" Protocol:

1. The Action: What specific change are we making?
2. The Goal: What is the single outcome we expect? (e.g., "Reduce CPA by 10%," not "Get better results").
3. The Ruler: How exactly will we measure success vs. failure?

If you skip this, you aren't optimizing. You are gambling.

The hard part isn't the strategy. The hard part is having the discipline to pause the "urgency" and define the "objective."

90% of marketers skip this step. That is why 90% of budgets are wasted.
Be the disciplined 10%.

Let’s cut the fluff. Everyone wants to talk about "Creative Strategy" and "AI Scaling." Almost no one wants to talk about The Feed (Google Ads).

Why? Because Feed management is boring. It’s tedious. It’s manual work. Most agencies assign it to the intern—or worse, they just plug in the default Shopify API and pray.

This is the single biggest "Profit Leak" I see in audits.

Here is the cold, hard math I’ve learned managing $175M+: In 2026, Google is blind.

Google's AI (Performance Max) cannot "see" your product photo like a human does. It reads Text. It relies 100% on the data you feed it to find your customer.

If you feed it garbage, you buy garbage traffic.

The Difference Between "Average" and "Scale":
❌ The Lazy Way (What 90% do): Title: "Cotton T-Shirt" Result: Google shows this to people looking for "$5 shirts" and "rags." You burn cash.

✅ The "Pedro" Way (Execution): Title: "Heavyweight Organic Cotton T-Shirt | Men's Boxy Fit | Black | [Brand] | Size L" Result: Google shows this only to people looking for premium, specific attributes. Your CTR spikes. Your ROAS stabilizes.

The Feed IS the Strategy.
You cannot "bid" your way out of bad data anymore. If you are planning your 2026 roadmap right now, stop looking for "hacks."

Audit your Feed.
- Are your titles keyword-stuffed? (They should be).
- Are your Custom Labels actively segmenting Margin?
- Is your GTIN data valid?

If you don't have a human being (not a plugin) reviewing this line-by-line, you aren't ready for 2026.

Do the boring work. It pays the best.
