Talent Acquisition Manager

Responsible for partnering with leadership of a multinational hospitality organization with the goal to review resource allocation and succession planning to ensure success for the business during a time of rapid expansion. Advised leadership on market conditions, salary and total rewards trends based on market intelligence. Researched and analyzed market information to understand competitive scope in order to best position the company’s value proposition. Relied on data to present realistic options to management. Managed two pilot projects for recruitment process outsource sourcing, evaluating separate RPO partners and strategic approach.
Key Accomplishments:  Took over the internship program to support corporate and 6 operating subsidiaries in order to create a viable pipeline for entry level professional roles, setting the foundation to turn internships over to our Emerging Leadership Talent Program. Honored by key university as Employer Partner of the Year. Participated in the rollout of ICIMS in 2021. Created a service level agreement for recruiters and hiring managers that defines roles, responsibilities, and expected time lines to be followed in order to fill roles in a reasonable time frame. Project manager for contingent labor supplier assessment and contract renegotiation with suppliers to set fixed markup. Successfully completed Pinnacle II executive leadership development program that included a capstone project to reduce costs and labor waste by improving the inventory process across the enterprise. Talent Acquisition Team Lead

Hearst Digital Marketing Services

Directed a team of 7 located throughout the country, leading the initiative to build leadership and acquire talent in a high turnover sales environment, and appropriately staff all corporate and operational functions for the internet marketing and newspaper division of a global media company. Responsible for over 25 markets in the US and international affiliates with approximately 2,500 employees.  Partnered with executive and regional leadership to plan for anticipated staffing needs and market expansion.  Assessed effectiveness of recruiting sources to plan for annual budgetary needs. Responsible for managing a $2Mil+ annual budget, including all annual contract negotiations with vendors. Managed relocation budget and coordination with outside vendor for relocation services. Responsible for all visa activities for non-citizen hires including coordination of petition filing with outside counsel.  Conducted investigations into employee relations issues. Part of the HR leadership team to strategize through two major operations restructuring. With the Director of Compensation, designed a new compensation structure to better recruit and retain talent.
Key Accomplishments:  Collaborated with HR leadership team in the design, delivery, and analysis of employee climate surveys. This was conducted immediately upon executive management change, 6 months later, and 18 months later to determine impact of leadership changes on employee engagement and satisfaction. Led the selection of a new ATS and negotiated the contract terms with the vendor. Implemented new ATS Fall 2014. Redesigned salary grading structure for IT roles, introduced shift pay structure as the company expanded service area internationally, and participated in annual variable compensation plan design for sales to drive outcomes with direct bottom line impact. Honored as Management Employee of the Year.

Responsible for teaching 100 and 200 level courses in Human Resources including Intro to HR; Employee Relations, Employee & Labor Relations; Recruiting, Staffing & Selection; Law & Ethics for Business; Employment Law.  Utilizing school guidelines, designed a curriculum that included class projects, lecture, and outside research. Employed andragogical methods to successfully prepare the non-traditional, adult student to learn in their own manner.

Provided staffing and employee relations support to business operations in sales and corporate support units. Worked closely with leadership team to determine appropriate staffing plans to reach strategic goals.  Provided input to the compensation team on market trends and completed salary surveys. Designed and delivered team building exercises to business groups. Responsible for investigating and providing resolution to employee relations issues for non-union staff in assigned groups. Acted as back-up for all union related employee relations issues.
Key Accomplishments:  Established  solid relationships with leaders in critical operations areas, providing value as a corporate recruiter and trusted business partner.  Participated on a process improvement team to address reward and recognition program implementation.  Created over $4Mil in savings by replacing long term contingency workforce with full time employees. Executed a staffing change to reduce annual project cost of $1.4Mil by more than half. Brought all contract and contingency staffing vendors on to new contracts with consistent terms that will bring labor resources into compliance for background checks, established a budgeted bill rate for specified positions, and saved over $400K annually in placement fees.

Rochester General Hospital

Recruited professional and executive level candidates for all Rochester General Hospital affiliates. Investigated recruiting sources, establish a recruitment plan, screen all candidates and serve as point of contact with both the hiring manager and the candidate from sourcing through hire. Assisted with employee relations issues, and represent the HR department at hospital education functions.  Presented on careers in healthcare for community outreach.  Worked closely with compensation on market analysis.   Member of Cultural Competency Committee.
Key Accomplishments:	Researched, selected, and proposed an Applicant Tracking Systems to best fit organizational needs.  Redesigned the employment section of the web site for branding and increased search functionality.  Saved over $50K by bringing job advertising from agency placement to in-house.  Served on planning committee for first annual Diversity Teaching Day.  Developed and facilitated of a one-hour diversity awareness training session for continuing education requirements of mental health employees.  Developed and facilitated internet recruiting session for employment team professional development.

Processed tuition reimbursement for 1000+ employees in North region. Troubleshot payroll and HR issues, assisted with employee relations, directly supporting regional staff of 300+.  Managed the entire hiring process for placement of banking professionals including financial analysts, licensed sales professionals, credit / risk management, and general management.
