In May 2017, HM Government of Gibraltar presented a proposed Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Framework as part of its “vision to establish and develop Gibraltar as a centre of excellence in the innovative financial services sector”  
 
With the DLT framework due to be operational for Q1 2018, this vision is soon to become a reality.
 
The Gibraltar International Fintech Conference, supported by Gibraltar Finance, will be the primary showcase for Gibraltar as a Fintech jurisdiction. 

Taking place on 18th / 19th October 2017 at the 5* Sunborn Yacht Hotel and opened by Chief Minister the Hon Fabian Picardo QC, the event sessions will feature international and local expert speakers covering a broad range of relevant topics.
