I am a Facilities Management professional with eighteen years of experience in the field. There are few areas of this occupation that I've not had experience in: --Project management (recently building out a 12,000 sq. foot office space, furnishing it, and peopling it) --Vendor relations (saving a company $12,000 a year by simply changing vendors and introducing single-stream recycling to my site) --Emergency response (during a city-wide blackout, I restored the back-up systems for my company's two mission-critical computer rooms, each one located in a different building) --Capital expense projects (overseeing the replacement of a rooftop HVAC unit) --Technology (am conversant with CAFMs including Centerstone and Aperture) --Animal rescue (found my last cat in a dumpster at work; took her to my car where she promptly broke into my leftover dinner and demolished half a steak; she had the courtesy to save the french fries for me) The physical workplace is one of the largest expenditures a company has in its budget and I always work with an eye for maximum value for cost...not necessarily looking for the cheapest solution, but the most cost-effective one. I build relationships (with vendors, stakeholders, and coworkers). I get the job done (walking the fine line of cost, deadlines, and customer service). I pride myself on my customer service skills...listening to my customers, working with them, and delivering solutions. I even do windows.
