Accomplished a lifelong dream of backpacking through 7 different countries in Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Focused on self-exploration and growth, I made a choice to push myself outside of my comfort zone and take risks I had never imagined. Solo backpacking with just a few possessions, I stayed in hostels and campsites, living each day fully. I went weeks at a time without meeting another American, instead picking up friends and meeting fellow backpackers from all over the world. Some of my most valuable experiences included teaching English in Thailand, volunteering with relief organizations in New Zealand, exploring meditation retreats in Bali. I learned how vibrant and exciting foreign cultures are, and that the most amazing experiences come from embracing what you have around you. Personal growth is a choice - choose to live to the fullest.
