Staylists is a completely customisable technology platform that gives partners a branded website for their customers to book holidays and getaways. Hotels and B&Bs reap the rewards of a jam-packed diary, while partners enjoy a small slice of commission on every booking.

Its first partnership is with DMG Media with the launch of Mail Breaks.

I am a coach, advisor & lecturer, focussing on the successful design & execution of B2B SaaS revenue & growth strategies.  I conceived, wrote & teach The Definitive Guide to Revenue Leadership syllabus at Sales Impact Academy.  I am a 4x successful scale up revenue leader, most recently as CRO at Ometria, who Deloitte placed in the Top 10 growth businesses in the UK with revenue acceleration above 3000%.  I was on the C-level team, in various leadership roles, for 7 years from Series A to IPO at Viadeo.  I have managed teams in Asia, Africa, Europe, Russia, LatAm &  across the US.  In 2020 I founded Pete Crosby Revenue, which provides revenue advice & coaching to more than 50 start-ups & scale-ups throughout the US, Europe & Asia.  I am the host of Pete Digs Deep, a monthly SaaS panel show which attracts around 500 live attendees, and I am a founding member of both London & Manchester Pavilions (formerly Revenue Collective).

Here's how to give feedback without triggering threat circuitry using the AEIOU Framework:

A - And. Instead of ‘but’. If I said to you, “that presentation was great…”– what word are you expecting to hear next? ‘But’ or ‘However’ most likely. Instead try,  “That presentation was great, and to make it even stronger you could….”.

E - Effort. We are rewarded neurologically far more for the effort we put in than for the end result. It is critical to notice the hard work that got the individual and/or team there, not just the output.

I - Intention. People come to work to do a good job. So first think about what their intention was before an error occurred. Coming from a premise that we are all seeking to do our best helps to regulate our emotions and respond to the facts.

O - Opportunity. In every genuine error, there is an opportunity to learn, to continually test, learn and improve. When we contribute and own our learning, we are more motivated to implement the changes and advice.

U -You. Focus on yourself. How are you feeling? What are you thinking? What is your mood? Is this the right time to share feedback? If not, maybe wait for a more suitable moment.
