I didn’t plan to be a coder, I was dead set on sales. Fortunately my first job trained all engineers in their software platform from day 1. Have to know the products you are selling right? Once I got a taste I switched focus right then and there. Scraped and clawed my way into the developer world. What I couldn't get from work I picked up on my own.
