Digital Manager

Sitting in the Central Operations team, my role is senior project manager. 

I am project lead for a {my}smile a new dental innovation which opened in quarter 1 of 2020. My role is focused on integration of new technologies and processes within our organisation. 

During this unprecedented time of COVID 19 I am overseeing the incident reporting and reporting processes within {my}dentist.

I am currently also aligned to the South East region to provide support on new initiatives. 

My role has included:
1) Utilisation of a document sharing platform “Box” - providing time and cost efficiencies 
2) Covering Resourcing Business Partner for the South East Region - Facilitating resourcing for Dentists, Nurses and Practice Managers. 
3) Patient First - practice improvements including operational sprint projects, introduction of new technology and high level strategy. 
4) Programme Management of our AI implementations for teeth diagnosis and monitoring

South Africa Challenge

After leading the 2013 team, my role within the South Africa Challenge has become a facilitation role acting to bridge new partner relationships and support the work of the project leader. 

Responsibilities have included:
- management of the bank accounts including budgeting for the programme, 
- coordinating flights/travel/accommodation for over 15 young people, 
- securing over £10,000 grant funding, 
- scheduling three two week leadership programmes in Durban, 
- one 2 week programme in London, 
- co-delivering HackaDurban - the first hackathon of its type in the Durban Ecosystem 
- supporting the development of 4 local NGOs, 
- reporting programme success and learning to sponsors 
- developing the vision and mission for the programme
- speaking at 3 regional events 
- developing and maintaining the web presence for the programme

Echo (Economy of Hours)

Echo stands for Economy of Hours: a marketplace without the money. Members buy and sell their skills, services and resources, using a currency called Echoes. The exchange rate are simple: 1 hour = 1 Echo. 

The organisation sits at the forefront of the collaborative economy and time banking sectors with over 2500 members (as of Jan 2016). 

Utilising past research and understanding of entrepreneurship ecosystems,  alongside my interest in technology, I was fortunate to spend 3 months supporting, injecting ideas and reviewing the Share East programme. (A sister programme to Echo specifically focused on East Village and E20) Then a further 6 months supporting on other strategic tasks. 

This role included reviewing and providing analysis of first year data, international bench-marking, collecting new data and reporting back to the leadership team on my findings.

Fail Forward

A social enterprise inspired by aaltoes, day for failure. Our mission was and to an extent still is to change the culture, feeling and understanding in the UK of failure by sharing stories, bringing people together and provoking conversation on failure as an important part of growth & learning.

Our first event was in Loughborough Students Union on the 15th March bringing together over 60 students, business leaders and social entrepreneurs to tackle their concepts of failure. 

During my time running fail forward, I was fortunate to meet some incredible people and hear stories that I will hold with me through my career. I am extremely proud to have been part of a movement of people who challenged traditional conference speakers to be more realistic about the challenges in achieving their success. I am also humbled by the number of people that connected and came on the journey to share their stories.

In this Part time role, I was tasked with field research and analysis within East Village and the Olympic park site. 

As an area of intense national pride and scrutiny our focus was to understand and represent the views of local people on the impact of the regeneration. Further to this, the research looked to identify factors / triggers which could be used in understanding people's perception of prosperity. 

The research gave me an opportunity to really get to the heart of the vast difference in opinion of the redevelopment. As well as in increasing my understanding of how great communities are developed and sustained.

This 6-month programme in the Government Infrastructure Advisory team was designed to develop brilliant business leaders. Over the course of the programme I worked in the:
- Manufacturing Advisory service - Supporting in the operations of the team in advocating our services to other countries, providing data analysis on past clients and researching industry positioning. 
- Stakeholder Management - Supporting the team in the integration of social media, mapping the support landscape and interacting with programme partners.
- Investor Relations - Supporting the team in analysis of funding applications, looking into past data and researching new potential industries of interest. 
- People and Culture - Supporting the team in client research, data analysis and researching new areas of interest. 

Contracts include major areas of government: UKTI and BIS, as well as interacting directly with a diverse mix of SMEs and large mid-market businesses.

During my time with this marketing and PR company, I demonstrated my commitment and flexibility in terms of job roles. I also developed a level of responsibility within the company and provided many of my own ideas (some of which have now been implemented) for its clients. I also played a client facing role within the business at a ride launch at Drayton Manor Park in which I was a member of the corporate hospitality staff representing Drayton Manor. This was a role that I really embraced and enjoyed and in which I had to think on my feet and come up with solutions to client and customer issues quickly.
During my last short internship with the company, I was involved in applications for grant funding for the organisation which has since lead to securing a large grant to support their office move.

End of an era today. I just recieved an email from the NACUE team letting us know they have closed their doors for the last time.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to everyone involved in NACUE since 2009. It really was a shaping experience for me at university. A number of the people I met through the network are still friends and connections I enjoy the company of to this day.
