Although I mainly work as a Veterinary Diagnostic Imager and Team Leader at AMVS, I have always had a passion for the human mind. From my own experience, I know that non-clinical professional and personal (human) skills are hugely important for a sustained performance in our jobs AND our wellbeing, and I am passionate about getting the word out, advocating, supporting others and learning with them how to work and live better. I am particularly interested in the ways that emotional intelligence & emotion regulation, compassion and communication interact with and support our clinical skills. Through getting ourselves and others to know better as fellow humans, I believe that we can all contribute towards a more compassionate and collaborative culture, which is the key for greater mental wellbeing, professional sustainability and better patient safety.
