At RebelDot we enable organizations in more than 15 industries to make an asset out of custom software. Am fost în tur în Favela Rochina din Rio de Janeiro. Deşi sunt peste 100, mafia te lasă să intrii doar în 3.

Bineînțeles, doar cu ghid local. Al nostru locuiește acolo şi ne-a arătat zonele safe, dar ne-a şi zis unde nu e ok să facem poze sau să ținem telefoanele la vedere.

Ce m-a surprins a fost:
1. Comunitatea: toți se ştiau cu toți şi se strigau cu “ola, familia!”

2. Business-urile. Foaaarte multe magazine, restaurante, cafenele, cabinete, spitale. De toate şi orice aveai nevoie.

A fost un reminder de cât se resourceful sunt oamenii, în general, şi cum spiritul de supraviețuire se activează indiferent de condiții.

Gata cu Bogota. Off to a new adventure. 2 săptămâni am stat şi nu ştiu cum să descriu oraşul asta.

Prima impresie a fost că am ajuns în Sinaia 2002, apoi am văzut o zonă foarte modernă cu prețuri ca în Cluj. Arhitectura lor e o combinație de Londra, Austria, cu clădiri stil America Latină şi mult, mult, mult graffiti.

Natura e superbă. Extrem de verde, cu extrem de multe flori care mai de care mai diverse.

Oamenii simpatici, dar un piiiic mai reci decât mexicanii. Peste tot e doar spaniola. Vezi, mamă, că mi-a prins bine să mă uit la telenovele?!

Ce am observat interesant despre business-uri este că toate restaurantele lor sunt mari. FOARTE mari. Seara sunt pline, la prânz sunt semi goale. 

Safety wise, eu cu butonul meu de alarmă activat constant, m-am simțit so and so. Adică ni s-a spus să nu fim cu telefoane sau bijuterii la vedere, dacă trebuie să mergem mai mult de 15 min pe jos să luăm Uber (care e ilegal aici, btw), never ever mers singuri pe stradă noaptea şi, bineînțeles, că sunt zone unde nu merg nici localnicii.

Ghidul cu care am fost eu în free walking tour a zis că suferă din cauza reputației proaste pe care o au în lume. Am empatizat cu el că doar nici să fii român nu e chiar lipsit de “reputație”.

Să vedem ce mai învăț din următoarea destinație.

De la temperaturile din Brazilia la 3 grade în România. 🫣Ne-am întors după 3 săptămâni în America Latină care m-a făcut să-mi dau seama că am cam uitat să ne bucurăm de ce avem.

Pe brazilieni i-am găsit foarte plini de viață, cu bucuria de a face “treabă”, dar de a nu uita să şi trăiască pe lângă. I-am găsit pe plajă sau pe străduțe plimbându-se în şlapi, râzând cu gura până la urechi, dansând samba şi mereu pregătiți să sară în ajutor.

Vizita în Favela Rochina m-a făcut să-mi dau seama că oamenii se descurcă indiferent de situație şi că business-ul are loc oriunde.

Sao Paulo a fost locul în care am văzut cum oamenii se pun la coadă unui restaurant care servește ramen, cu multe ore înainte de deschidere. O lecție despre ce înseamnă să ai un produs cu adevărat bun şi să te “nişezi” pe un specific anume.

M-am întors în România cu gândul de a continua să construiesc, dar spre o direcție puțin diferită. Să vedem ce iese ❤️

Între timp, speech-ul meu TEDx Târgu-Mureș are aproape 1000 de views 🥹, urmează să lansez un program pentru cei care vor să testeze apele antreprenoriatului, să fiu mentor într-un program cu 800 de participanți şi să înregistrez primul meu podcast internațional 🤯
