Finding sponsorship opportunities to target our cash customers and tradesmen 

Managing key suppliers involved in Brandon Hire’s marketing processes; telesales, fulfilment house, media buyers.

Organising company national exhibitions and local ‘breakfast events’ by coordinating with sales and account managers; arranging data capture, lead follow-up and distribution once show is over.

Supporting the Brandon Hire website with content and visuals when required, supporting the company twitter through a planned twitter schedule.

Group Marketing Manager

Business West

One of the most influential independent business leadership organisations in the UK, representing and working with over 18,000 businesses across the South West. Offering businesses support from start-ups to established businesses looking to growth and exploring the export market.

Provided marketing support temping, during a particularly busy time in the Business West Marketing Department.

Supported the social media activity for promoting local business chamber events, managed eventbrite for setting up events and the process for booking attendees online.

Writing about local business export success stories for the Business West website and blog, as well as researching industries for the team.    

Supported the Digital Marketing Manager on the national business start-up programme ‘Ready for Business’, a partnership between Barclays Bank and the Government. This included creating relevant cross platform content from writing case studies on local business start-ups and working with their PR agency.

Maintained the Instagram and twitter accounts for Leigh Court (where Business West was based) to promote the venue for weddings and corporate events through populating it with relevant imagery and content.

Marketing & Business Development Executive - South West

This position involves the co-ordination and day to day implementation of business development and marketing activity in the Bristol, Bath and Hereford Baker Tilly offices.

Baker Tilly is a leading mid-tier firm of accountants and business advisers with a fee income of over £300 million with almost 4,000 partners and staff based in a network of offices across the UK.

Baker Tilly specialises in providing an integrated range of services to entrepreneurial, growing businesses.

Marketing & Business Development Coordinator

City West Commercials Ltd

Formed the Marketing Department which did not exist previously for the 5 City West Commercials dealerships (Bristol, Avonmouth, Taunton, Exeter and Cornwall).

Rebranded the Dealership’s website (content and visually) increasing visits by 62% in a year.

Generated 9 Van Sales from a VIP Van event which involved a focused direct marketing campaign and follow-up.

Responsibilities - 

Implemented marketing plans to allow the truck, van and aftersales offerings of the commercial vehicle business to be communicated to target market through radio, print advertising and dealership awareness.

Liaised with the National Mercedes-Benz marketing team to demonstrate effective marketing activity being undertaken at dealership level in accordance with brand guidelines.

Created a suite of branded dealership literature for fleet, truck, van and aftersales. 

Managed external relationships with advertising agency, mailing houses, Autotrader and local press, as well as working closely with Mercedes-Benz Press Office for developing customer stories on a local and national level.

Developed the CRM system to aid targeted marketing campaigns for sales and aftersales initiatives, as well as providing detailed management information on return on investment for Directors.

Implemented the effective usage of all forms of online social media for the company as well as helping Dealer Principal and Managers to maximise their LinkedIn profiles.

Organised dual branded events, new dealership openings and national calendar events.

SAFEcontractor

SAFEcontractor is a leading Health and Safety Pre-Qualification scheme in the UK with more than 140 major clients (many Blue chip) and 18,000 contractor members.

This was a new position supporting the Marketing Manager implement an ambitious new marketing programme.

Achievements -
Increased market share from 12% (2007) to 25% (2010) through increased brand awareness.
Contributed to a growing Client base from 7,000 (2007 when joined) to 18,000 members (Feb 2010) through the planning, co-ordination and execution of marketing campaigns and rebranding activity.
Managed the whole of SAFEcontractor’s rebranding process electronically and print based. 
Helping win contracts with Proctor & Gamble, Zara UK Ltd, Greggs Plc and Tesco.
Generated over 191 appointment/leads from exhibitions organised over a 3-year period.
