Philipp is a seasoned leader and strategist in the public sector, with over two decades of experience in helping governments leverage technology to create public value. He is currently the VP Public Sector at DriveLock SE, a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions for data protection and endpoint security. As the VP Public Sector, Philipp oversees the sales, marketing, and delivery of DriveLock's products and services to public sector customers across the globe. He works closely with government agencies, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, and to design and implement solutions that enhance their security, efficiency, and innovation. He also leads the development and execution of DriveLock's public sector strategy, vision, and goals, aligning them with the company's mission and values. Prior to joining DriveLock, Philipp was the BD Leader Core Government EMEA at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he drove the growth and adoption of AWS cloud services in the public sector market. He was responsible for building and managing a high-performing team, developing and executing go-to-market plans, and establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with key government decision-makers and influencers. He also contributed to the thought leadership and advocacy of AWS on topics such as digital transformation, cloud computing, and data sovereignty. Philipp is passionate about the interplay of technology, strategy, and leadership, and how it can shape the future of our societies. He is an affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, where he conducts research and participates in projects on the social and ethical implications of digital technologies. He is also a public speaker and the author of three books and multiple articles on these topics. He holds a PhD in Political Science, Law, and Philosophy from Ludwig-Maximilians-University, and has been a visiting professor and researcher at several prestigious institutions.
