Corporate Vice President - Global Technology Development

Responsible for forming a new team to define the strategy, planning and integration of 118 of McDonald’s 119 global markets as part of the global IT leadership team.  Responsible for key initiatives at the heart of McDonald’s turnaround including the identification of financial efficiencies, assessing market IT organisations and optimising their role through shared services and centres of competency, assessing the strategic outsourcing of the IT portfolio, enabling the integration of Digital and IT through  accelerated value delivery, and defining the technology aspects of the divestiture of select markets.

Corporate Vice President  & International CIO

Accountable for the strategy, innovation, development, deployment and support of the core restaurant and digital systems for 7,800 restaurants across 38 markets.  Responsible for the regional back office, Learning Management and People Systems, and the restaurant infrastructure platforms.

Senior Director - European Restaurant Solutions

Accountable for the strategy, development and implementation of the US restaurants’ back office, restaurant reporting and people systems across 14,500 restaurants, and a large portfolio of applications supporting Human Resources, Restaurant Development, Marketing, Customer Experience & Insights, Menu Innovation/Nutrition, Franchising, Consumer & Business Insights and Supply Chain.

Senior Director - US IT Business Systems

Accountabilities included the setting, evangelisation and implementation of the most significant update of restaurant technology ever undertaken by McDonald’s, currently implemented in over 26,000 restaurants. The role included accountability for global retail technology strategy, restaurant architecture and engineering, deployment, support, restaurant business applications including drive-thru, back office and shift management technologies, and a number of technology innovations.  Additional accountabilities included the programme management and technology innovation function for deployment and developing the start of global collaboration on support innovation.

Senior Director - Worldwide Retail Technology

Accountable for the setting and implementation of a global retail technology strategy at a worldwide level for McDonald's Corporation. Remit includes restaurant technology engineering and architecture, strategic vendor management, line of business integration and technology innovation.  Responsible for store technology infrastructure including point of sale, mobile devices, self-order kiosk and networked kitchen equipment, managed through international teams.  Significant experience in developing technology strategy, the identification of technology-enabled business opportunities and the architecting of a contemporary infrastructure for current and future retail needs.

Director - Retail Technology

Accountabilities included the delivery of a new suite of restaurant applications including McDonald's strategic POS solution, change management and adoption processes, governance and technology standardisation.

Product Manager (Future Restaurant Systems)

Responsibilities included defining and implementing new business processes and supporting global restaurant technology systems, managed through a virtual, matrixed team.  Managed vendor selection, project lifecycle definition and planning, functional architecture, change management, and business relationship management.

Senior Project Manager & Release Manager - Store of the Future

Responsibilities included defining tactical and strategic retail and technical requirements as a UK IT management and strategy team member.  Scope covered POS, back-office and other restaurant technologies
