I help technology business leaders and sales teams build their profile and connect with audiences on LinkedIn. Over the past 15 years working in social media marketing, I have noticed three common barriers to building a strong professional profile: a shortage of time, skills gaps and a lack of confidence. Having built teams and led agencies, I found I was missing the hands-on work with clients. So in January 2020, my wife Jo and I launched Brightside, with a focus on storytelling through people, rather than brand channels. We now have a small group of hand-picked associates and also join forces with larger agencies, where we can be their exec comms and LinkedIn partners. My claim to fame is being the founder of the sport 'extreme ironing'. I started it in 1997, but it was really in the early noughties that it caught on.
