Pia Villanueva-Pulido

Pia Villanueva-Pulido is a published freelance writer, children’s author, ELAR teacher. She also specializes in teaching creative writing instruction, Language Arts and Junior Writers’ Workshops for the intermediate, middle school, and high school preparation levels.

Together with her husband, music producer/songwriter Michael Pulido, they have written The River of Imagination, a children’s picture book collection and CD series in simple lyrical language that school-aged children will easily enjoy.

 Blue Dragonfly, the first of its series, launched in her spring school production, Spring Fever 2009: Concert Recital presented by Timidsoul Productions. For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Pulido have successfully used her seven stories from the River of Imagination as her “platform for creative thinking” to meet the standards-based curriculum. 

She believes in encouraging her students to embrace their creative inspiration in the form of reading, writing, music, and drawing. What better way to inspire them than to teach by example!

Pia is a multiple award-winning educator, a published writer, and entrepreneur. 

Together with her husband, music producer/songwriter Michael Pulido, they wrote and published The River of Imagination, a children’s picture book collection with multimedia features in 2007. 

As a result of writing, publishing, and selling their own picture books, they launched M&P Creative, a husband and wife business partnership dedicated to helping others monetize their own products and services (books, songs, music videos, small business campaigns, etc) through content strategy and business development.

In August 2022 she founded @Texapinay, a brand that strives to build a multiculturally inclusive place of belonging for the historically underrepresented.
