We aim to strengthen these bonds by providing access to historical documents, fostering education, and inspiring pride in Icelandic heritage, including traditions, language, literature, and culture.

Our community approach brings people together, and our volunteer-driven team leads charitable initiatives like scholarships, arts, culture events, and educational support. 

We're dedicated to building connections between Icelanders and Icelandic descendants worldwide, particularly in North America, where we believe community is paramount.

The Visitor Engagement team is known as the "Face of the Zoo," a role I endeavor to fulfill daily.

As a member of this team, I have the privilege of delivering dynamic educational experiences to Zoo visitors. This involves conducting captivating presentations, continually enhancing my knowledge, and staying attuned to the ever-evolving dynamics of our resident animals. These efforts provide visitors with deeper insights into our operations, ensuring an extraordinary and enriching experience for all.
