I worked on a number of projects within the legal entity control team including the building of a common data model, automating several financial and regulatory reporting processes, and enhancing their management reporting outputs.

Primarily I helped them to standardise and automate management reporting across all the EMEA Wells Fargo entities and enhance reporting with interactive dashboard visualisations.

Working within the Clara Analytics team, I was responsible for managing the process of delivering data and analytics solutions for international audits across a number of sectors. This involved the oversight of data analysts, audit teams, and audit clients to ensure a smooth delivery.

I also created and reviewed Alteryx workflows, SQL code and PowerBI dashboards used for bespoke audit procedures and process automation. In addition I designed machine learning solutions in Python to enhance audit delivery. My role includes championing best practice, though delivering projects which have automated certain procedures, and promoting the use of visualisations.

I completed a Masters degree in Data Science alongside my role and was actively involved in developing machine leaning libraries in Python to be used in the audit space.

As an assistant manager I was responsible for the audit of international entities and groups in a wide range of industries (commodities trading, manufacturing, retail, recruitment, and pharmaceuticals).

Key aspects of my role included:
- Leading audit teams and supporting them though the whole audit process (both upwards and downwards).
- Maintaining good client relationships as the key audit contact.
- Making use of D&A to realise significant audit quality and efficiency improvements.

I was engaged as both a team member and an audit in-charge across a number of clients, from small local businesses to multinational corporations.

This involved:
- Leading audit teams: creating project plans, managing assistants, responding to unexpected issues, managing client relationships, and taking responsibility for audit files.

- Staying up to date on auditing standards and updating testing on a continual basis to improve audit quality.

As well as this I worked on creating new product proposals for different financial products which may be of interest to clients at the bank.

Placement

Based in Audit, I gained an excellent fundamental understanding of corporate financial statements and how they are assessed and audited. Looking at the processes occurring behind the numbers has given me a great insight into the way businesses work and how an audit is run.

My responsibilities included:

-Cash and Fixed assets audit tests.
-Calling and casting financial statements.
-Talking to clients in person to request audit evidence.
-Phoning clients/ banks/ suppliers for evidence requests.
-Some tasks on other areas e.g.revenue, provisions and debt

Promoting the independent governmental organisation dealing with the Data Protection Act and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations across the UK. As a brand manager, I utilised campaign promotional materials effectively to create maximum awareness and presence for the ICO around the university.

I'm an ACA qualified accountant and completed a masters in Applied Data Science alongside my full time role.
