- Introducing social media scheduling software and an employee advocacy program

- Streamlining various processes within the wider Marketing function

- Rebuilding our careers page to align with the company's new branding, internal values and culture

- Managing the company's first lab automation event in the USA

Social Media Coordinator

Responsibilities:

- Bank & Payments: oversee the use of Pleo (both virtual cards and expenses) and manage business cards, manage budgets in our Sunlight L&D spending platform, onboarding/offboarding employees from accounting platforms

- Bank Reconciliations: perform weekly bank reconciliations on Xero, automate the reconciliation process, ensure tax invoices are properly uploaded in the system

- Accounts Payable: be responsible for posting incoming invoices on a weekly basis, assess and improve processes that help the finance team to handle the increasing workload

- EOM supplier statements: ensure credit account balances are up to date on a monthly basis and match with supplier records

- System Integration: ensure that the accounting software in use talk to each other, investigate integration issues and help integrate new software
 
- Expenses: review and approve employee expenses on Xero Expenses/Pleo Pocket, submit for payment on a monthly basis

- Company Policy & Handbook: audit Finance Ops processes on a regular basis and update the company handbook accordingly to make sure that information is clearly shared across the whole team

- Communication: handle inbound AP & payment questions from team members and redirect them to the right stakeholder when needed

Bookkeeper

Responsibilities:

- Managing day-to-day office operations

- Providing office supplies for staff and maintaining adequate stock

- Owning and implementing office processes/systems

- Managing and supporting internal and external events

- Arranging travel and accommodation for staff

- Reviewing and updating the company handbook and other relevant documentation as required

Responsibilities:

- Keeping a lively local cafe thriving in the community

- Day-to-day running, logistics and problem-solving in a crisis

- Management of ~6 employees

- Organising and distributing staff rotas, managing holidays and absence effectively through busy periods

- The creation of an entirely new seasonal menu, including recipes for employees to follow and costings for the owner 

- Forming strong relationships with staff, suppliers and customers

- Stock/produce and local supplier management (ordering, stock checks)

- Advocating for and promoting the continued selling of local art at the cafe, including my own

- Running social media campaigns on Instagram, generating content and managing customer engagement

- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen that adhered to Government Health and Safety guidelines
