From a Banker to A Woman in FinTech: Here’s my story Deciding to pivot from a traditional banking career to a role in FinTech in India was a defining moment in my life. Here's what happened next: 2014-2022: Spent eight enriching years in the Indian banking industry, where I developed a deep understanding of financial systems and customer needs. I left as a manager at Canara Bank. (earlier Syndicate Bank) Worked for customer needs (building client relationship, handling credit portfolio, forex transaction among many other things. Ended my tenure as a branch manager. 2022: Made a significant career shift to the FinTech sector, focusing on government relations and advisory for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for National Payments Corporation of India. This move was driven by my desire to impact financial policy and digital payment systems directly. I specialize in conceptualizing and implementing digital payment schemes with the government and NPCI. This role has allowed me to work closely with key stakeholders in the financial ecosystem, shaping the future of digital payments in India. 2023: Pursuing an MBA in Financial Management and Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. This decision underscores my commitment to staying at the forefront of FinTech innovation and education. Today, my work impacts millions, making financial services more accessible and efficient. My journey in FinTech is not just about professional growth but also about contributing to a sector that has a profound impact on people's lives. Outside work, I am a sports and fitness enthusiast.
