I launched The Black Bachelorette in 2015 on a whim and it has now evolved into the leading pre-wedding brand celebrating Black women on the journey to I DO. 

We create a safe space for brides to get ideas, inspiration, advice, and support while they are in the wedding planning process. On our Instagram account, we feature everything in the pre-wedding experience including proposals, engagement photos, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and bridal suites.  

Black brides look to our brand when they want to invest money in items, services, or people who will make their pre-wedding experiences more enjoyable and exciting.

Conducted an audit to gather information about OVW's social media presence. Developed a proposal to make a case for establishing a LinkedIn Company Page. Upon approval, created a LinkedIn content strategy with a goal to grow followers and increase awareness of OVW programs and grants

Used Hootsuite Enterprise to oversee the daily management of social media platforms. 5,700 monthly average likes on Instagram; 5,300 monthly average retweets and likes on Twitter; 3,300 monthly average reactions on Facebook (organic); and 2,500 monthly average post likes on LinkedIn

Crafted the social media campaign for the annual conference of 20,000+ attendees. Worked on a cross-functional team with Marketing and Social Engagement colleagues on the Giving Day Social Ambassadors digital campaign, reaching over 30,000 youth volunteers. Developed messaging for the National Youth Council blog, Facebook Group, and email campaign. Nearly 1,000 youth volunteers acquired as Social Ambassadors in four weeks 

Contributor to American Red Cross Instagram account. Curated photos of volunteers for weekly features. 12.5% growth in followers month-over-month 

Key liaison for the Social Engagement team on all major social campaigns targeting over 150,000 volunteers. Collaborated on annual volunteer appreciation campaigns. In 2014, maximized visual assets on Instagram and Facebook - resulted in sharing the second most liked photo on Red Cross Instagram account and second most liked Facebook post in the third quarter   

Developed a "Building Your Brand" training for Red Cross National Youth Council and department interns. After initial presentation, HR invited me to present to all incoming summer interns classes and during college student site visits 

Coached and mentored two summer interns. Worked with interns to strengthen communications skills 

Used Google Analytics to track and monitor monthly traffic to redcrossyouth.org. Used data to propose web site updates and increase traffic  
 
Collaborated with Social Engagement team to develop a presentation for the 2013 National Conference on Volunteering and Service - largest gathering of volunteer and service leaders. As staff on loan at the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, I was tasked with developing a social media and digital marketing strategy that would increase traffic and registrations for a massive open online course about noncommunicable diseases, Healthy Lifestyle Community 

Executed day-to-day management of Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ accounts. Drafted, monitored, and posted engaging content. Maintained content calendar  

Established Healthy Lifestyle Community's Facebook Page. Drafted and posted content related to healthy lifestyles and noncommunicable diseases. Over 3,000 reached organically in each post

Created Twitter account. Developed nearly 180 tweets in two months. 220% increase month-over-month for retweets and mentions. Twitter was a top referral for website traffic 

Oversaw digital marketing campaigns. Monitored and modified Google AdWords campaigns to increase traffic to the course 

Used Google Analytics to create weekly metric reports for senior leadership team. Analytics data used to drive decisions to improve SEO and reduce landing page bounce rate   

Utilized MailChimp to implement email marketing campaigns to Healthy Lifestyle Community registrants. 22% average open rate and 3.2% click rate

Managed YouTube channel. Modified video tags, titles, and keywords in description boxes to optimize search and increase video views. 66% increase in views month-over-month

Developed digital campaign to drive people to download Summer Playground Challenge mobile app. Identified mom influencers to increase participation. Engaged bloggers in outreach tactics including Twitter chats and guest blogs; 300% growth in challenge participants year-over-year
