HLL Lifecare gave me a front-row seat to public health innovation and placed me in the driver’s seat of some of its biggest initiatives.

As Deputy Manager – Marketing, I was responsible for taking new health products from idea to launch across Kerala, while balancing the complexity of public-sector operations.

One of the key highlights?

🚀 Launching the umbrella brand “Herbs and Berries” — a natural wellness line backed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

My role included:

Most people don’t know this- South Indians don’t actually celebrate Diwali.


We celebrate Deepavali.

Same lights.
Different story.

In the South, it's Krishna defeating Narakasura.
In the North, it's Rama returning to Ayodhya.

The name changes.
The legend shifts.

Even the emotional weight of the day varies from home to home.

Growing up in the South, I watched this festival mean different things to different people.

For some, it's the biggest day of the year.
For others, just another weekend with sweets.

But here's what I've learned:

The story you tell yourself matters less than the light you share with others.

When the lamps are lit ...
whether you call it Diwali or Deepavali,
whether you celebrate Krishna or Rama or just the joy of being together, India glows as one.

Not because we're the same.
But because we choose, again and again,
to find each other in the light.

Happy Deepavali.
Happy Diwali.
Happy festival of lights♥️
whatever you call home.

I got 200+ comments on a post last month.

And made the dumbest mistake possible.

I tried to recreate it.
Same format. Same hook style. Same “safe” approach.

Result?
I felt like I’d lost my voice.
Predictable. Repetitive.

That post did okay…
But my next few? The impressions tanked.

That’s when it hit me
I was being held hostage by my own small win.

Most people don’t grow on LinkedIn because they keep replaying their last success.

Same post type. Same comfort zone.

I call it the "curse of familiar success".

You get a few likes, a couple of leads…
and mistake activity for momentum.

But real growth doesn’t come from “what worked last time.”
It comes from asking scarier questions:

→ What would it take to 5x my results this year?
→ What if I hit my 3-year goal in 3 months?
→ What am I avoiding because I’m afraid it won’t work?

Your brain finds bold answers when you ask bold questions.
So here’s my challenge:
This week, post something that makes you slightly nervous.

Not reckless. Just… different.

Because the version of you that plays it safe?
They’re not the version that breaks through.

The Curse Of Familar Success

Founders: Employees like ≠ audience growth.

If your fans are on payroll, the algorithm already knows. 

You post something.
Then you drop it in the company group.
All your team members like it.

Feels good, right?

But here’s the truth.

Great products still matter.

More time crafting each one.
Writing like I was texting a colleague, not performing for a crowd.

Result?
Half the posts.
Double the DMs.
Better conversations.
Better clients.

The shift isn’t about gaming the system.
It’s about remembering why you’re here in the first place.
