The project was operated and maintained jointly by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) & Kandy Municipal Council (KMC) with financial assistance from Sri Lankan Government and the Japanese International Corporation Agency (JICA).

Create demand among the target population for the modern sanitary services offered by the project. Generate prepare attractive information material using modern marketing techniques to be distributed among the target population to compare the advantages of getting connected to the proposed sewer system.  Designed and implemented Public Relations Activity and social media marketing activities, Conducted training seminars and workshops for persons who were the stakeholders in the project.
