I worked with the Ohio-based pharmaceutical start-up company and transport service start-up company for business strategy development through innovation protection. 

Responsibilities for a pharmaceutical start-up company:
•	Developed a new differentiation focus marketing strategy for existing products. 
•	Performed and delivered an opinion on cease and desist action on the company's trademark product by the competitor. 
•	Performed legal research to avoid future cease and desist action by the competitor. 
•	Developed new regulatory milestones for pipeline products. 
•	Drafted a separation agreement after the willful separation of one of the partners of the company and updated company terms and policies.

Responsibilities for a transport service start-up company:
•	Performed legal research to enhance customer data privacy protection to avoid future legal threats.
•	Drafted a contract agreement for an annual provision such as vehicle inspections with the local firestone branch.
•	Performed and delivered an opinion on agreements and policies for the contract-based driver to avoid additional expenses at the initial stage of the company.

Responsibilities:
•	Performed IP assessments including patent clearance for new medicinal products in the area of cardiovascular and anti-viral.
•	Generated patentability opinions for new drug molecules for US and Indian patent application filing.
•	Developed strategic Patent landscape for 50 products for US, EU, and India markets to support business decisions regarding market launch date.
•	Reviewed and processed pharmaceutical litigation-related documents during the eDiscovery phase of litigation using eZReview software.
•	Managed Patentability, Right to use, Invalidation, Freedom to operate and state of the art patent searches. 
•	Liaise with inventors and counsel to draft, file, and prosecute patent applications, and perform patent right to use analysis.

•	Completed patent evaluation reports for twenty-two pipeline ANDA products to support the business development team for final ANDA selection.
•	Successfully trained two graduates for a patent analyst position.

Ajanta Pharma Ltd

Responsibilities:
•	Worked with the business development team to select new drug molecules for ANDA application with required litigation strategy. 
•	Prepared generic drug product identification and its launch plans for the US market under the guidance of the business strategy team.
•	Reviewed invention disclosures provided by R&D in the identification of inventions during product development and drafted patent applications for the novel formulation process.
•	Prepared anticipation grounds during ANDA Para IV litigation studies.
•	Worked with regulatory affairs team during ANDA filing for preparation of notice letter and FDA label submission using carve-outs for generic drugs.
•	Worked with the clinical research team for identification of new indication (use or treatments) for existing drug molecules.

Accomplishments:
•	Successfully launched a drug by selecting a vendor (from 18 vendors) for raw materials using design- around-patent strategies to avoid infringement against orange book listed patents.
•	Successfully drafted one provisional application and one complete application to the Indian Patent Office (IPO).
•	Replied to two office actions to IPO during prosecution for successful grants.
•	Received IP Excellence Award for Best IP Team by Orbit Intelligence - Questel in 2017-18.

•	Successfully trained a team of four junior research fellows.
