• Working on using large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-4, for understanding and performing question answering on documents like CSVs, PDFs, images, excel files, etc.

• Worked on the image fraud detection problem. The goal was to detect image forgery in IDs (such as passports, driver’s licenses, etc.) and bank documents for KYC (Know Your Customer), and other purposes.

Managed 3 machine learning projects which were live on the product with help of a team of 6 full-time employees.

Lead Data Scientist

• Contributed in Neural Machine Translation (NMT) field. The goal is to provide education in vernacular medium to millions of students in India & reduce the total cost of translation by order of magnitudes.

• Built a self-sufficient & language agnostic NMT(Neural Machine Translation) training platform to train NMT models from scratch.

• Trained & deployed translation models from English to 11 Indian vernacular languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Bengali using this platform with decent BLEU scores. 

• Because of this work, productivity of human translators increased by 2 to 3 times(more translations in the same time, without compromising the quality) and hence, company saved huge amount in translation.

• Contributed in research work with the goal to combine Knowledge Graph and NLP models like BERT, T5 etc.

Data Science Engineer

• Developed pipeline for 2 live company projects namely Point of Interest (PoI) prediction & cell tower alarm causality analysis; at AI CoE (core AI team of Jio) in IoT team. 

• As the data size was huge, all computations are done in a distributed way using PySpark & map-reduce.

• Developed 2 live company projects namely Car part detection & OCR; using deep learning & image processing. 

• Deployed OCR project on Raspberry Pi & worked on motion sensors & Pi camera.
